Oxford are against it too.

Robinson was in the paper today saying Taylor was already well over it

The proposal was that existing signings wouldn't count toward it. Otherwise, Sunderland are fucked.

the injury comment is interesting as we know the history of Wellens and players that have suffered historically with injuries.
It’s an even bigger risk this season though with a smaller budget and more games crammed closer together, it was obviously a concern for Ecotricity as well otherwise they wouldn’t have released him.

As for wage cap I still don’t agree with it either. Teams like Pompey, Ipswich, Sunderland et al should be able to pay significantly more in wages than us, their turnover is probably double or treble ours or possibly even more.

Yeah i know, what Robinson is saying that the wage average of 110k (if bought in), Taylor is well over it now.

The proposal is that any contracted player takes up the average space in the wage cap. i.e. Sunderland have 25 players liable to to be counted in the cap, and the cap is £2.5m, only £100kpa of Billy Big Bollocks' wage counts, even though he earns £12k a week.

Not sure I understand his point then - as PP correctly pointed out, he would just be counted as being at the average.

Could be a lad for the future? He's only 16 but seems to have a committed attitude. GK from Ireland. Good with his feet too. A modern, ball playing keeper. I like him. Intriguing.

Get Big Steve and Ben Chorley out to have a look at him.

PS: No, his Mum hasn't hacked me account   Cheesy
