Carvalho - pacy winger who has spent most of his career in non-league. Reece Cole - 23 year old CM who has had plenty of loan spells in the basement division. Sounds like he had a good season at relegated Partick Thistle in Scotland. Ben Reeves - Midfielder, plenty of games for Franchise and Charlton. Sounds decent. George Williams - Attacking Midfield/Winger - was great for FGR last season on loan I think.
Williams looks like an upgrade on Woolery/Anderson while Reeves has the experience which RW wanted and is more then Rose, could be two decent signings. Just have to trust in RW as he knows what he wants.

No but 2 are central midfielders which is surely the last position we need currently, I just think it’s the usual revolving door and tbh pay little attention to trialists. Obviously there was Isgrove and Lyden last season but they had real pedigree and was later in the window.
Yeah its just bodies for preseason games and training. The trialists win by doing a preseason somewhere which makes them attractive to all clubs (as opposed to training alone), if someone stands out then great. Its the same every season. Would be very surprised if any of them joined, wait and see though. Would have thought we would have a striker trialist given the gaps. Guess Hope is getting a lot of preseason minutes.

Would've been happy with Williams and Reeves if they'd just signed without a trial to be honest.

Pre-season triallists at @Official_STFC… Wilson Carvalho (Accrington) – Reece Cole (Brentford) – Ben Reeves (Franchise) – George Williams (Forest Green) #stfc
BBC Wilts
I assume the various A. Trialist brothers will be rolling up later in pre-season?

Yeah, just a bit of guesswork. Nice clean fun There’s quite a few rovers players who used to play for Coventry but most of them are defenders

Pompey after him and Rovers want £500k+ way out of our price range, many Championship teams after him too.

That never was realistic. Bogle, on the other hand, is.
Apparently only one more day of signing players before the cap, so after tomorrow all clubs will be offering the same - or maximum allowable - wage. Players will then sign on the basis of location, manager, expectations - not money.

If it wasn't for the rather large fee I think he could have been a valid rumour. Rovers fans confident they will keep him for their title push this coming season. That never was realistic. Bogle, on the other hand, is.

Bogle is indeed a very possible target.

If the cap goes ahead.
