Nichols does loads more for the team than Tshimanga imo

One thing in his favour is that Tshimanga takes a bloody good penalty though.

Another vote for Nicholls as well. Clearly not a goalscorer, but his neat and tidy work could be vital in a properly functional promotion chasing league 2 side. I'd be happy to make him permanent next season, adds experience as well.

He does take a good penalty.

He's probably a good finisher too. Problem is, I can count on one hand the amount of genuine goal scoring opportunities he's had. So it's hard to tell if he can put the ball in the net or not.

TBH if they were going to take a punt on Tshimanga for next season I would invest in a pair of boots for him with bigger/longer studs to see if he could stay on his feet for the remaining games this season before making any  decision, plays like he is permanently on an ice rink!

TBF to him, he hasnt been that bad in the last 5 or 6 games as he was in his first 20 or so.

Don't think Ripley will be here next year given the presser (young family in Preston).

That would be a shame, but it doesn't feel beyond the ability of the club to replace him like for like - the point is just not with another kid.

Who knows, might be a handy excuse to dodge child care  Wink . Seriously though, at this level and his age I suspect a lot would depend on him being able to get a comparable contract offer Northern based.

Seems to have been a busy boy and have 5 kids! https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/connor-ripley-putting-down-roots-16477990

Townsend from Newport might be worth a look. OOC at the end of season.

That would be a huge loss, I like Ripley and the confidence he gives the defence.

That would certainly be a big loss. Understandable but disappointing...
