Did we sponsor someone this year? Did you get a shirt, or have they run out this season?

This was the Players awards night not Sponsors dinner.  We didn't sponsor this year, nobody contacted us as usual, probably because there were more important fish to fry at the time..  hence no shirt or draw this year.

If anyone fancies jumping in and taking on the player sponsorship duties for next season then let me know, I think I have done it for 5+ years and it might be time for fresh blood if anyone wants it..

Not publicly no - was a good night though, the players were in great spirits.  Mckirdy was funny with his acceptance speeches, similar to that video linked on here..

Is that McKirdy rapping on the Ukrainian Eurovision entry, looks like a hat he would wear.

Recategorising a little, the first post is out of date too. Think we should probably get a retained list in the next few days.

LOANS ENDING
9. Josh Davison (ST - Loan)
14. Brandon Cooper (DC - Loan)
16. Jake O'Brien (DC - Loan)
19. Louis Barry (ST - Loan)
23. Joe Tomlinson (DL - Loan)

OUT OF CONTRACT THIS SUMMER
1. Jojo Wollacott (GK - 2022)
2. Akin Odimayo (DRC - 2022)
4. Dion Conroy (c) (DC - 2022)
6. Mathieu Baudry (DC - 2022)
8. Jordan Lyden (DM - 2022)
10. Jack Payne (AMRLC - 2022)
15. Manny Idem (GK - Unknown, but guessing this summer)
17. Jayden Mitchell-Lawson (AMRLC,FC - 2022)
18. Mandela Egbo (D/WBR - 2022)
20. Jonny Williams (AMLC, 2022)
24. Rob Hunt (D/WBRL - 2022)
25. Louis Reed (MC - 2022)
26. Ryan East (DM - 2022)
28. Ricky Aguiar (MF - 2022)
30. Mo Dabre (MF - 2022)

CONTRACTED BEYOND THIS SUMMER
3. Ellis Iandolo (D/WBL/AML - not announced but probably 2023)
7. Ben Gladwin (AMRLC - not announced but probably 2023)
11. Harry McKirdy (AMRLC - not announced but probably 2023)
12. Lewis Ward (GK - not announced but probably 2023)
13. Steve Mildenhall (GK - Coaching contract)
29. Harry Parsons (ST - 2023)
32. George Cowmeadow (AML/ST - not announced but probably 2023)
34. Harrison Minturn (DC -  not announced but probably 2023)

YOUTH PLAYERS
31. Donny Gordon
33. Levi Francis
35. Callum Winchcombe
36. Anton Dworzak
37. Harvey Fox
38. Tom Wynn-Davis
39. Jed Afenyo
40. Jacob Bunch

Not sure if I've missed any contract renewals, particularly for the younger lads. Not much under contract, but we were in the same position last summer much later and Chorley did a great job.

of the OOC players, I'd categorise them as follows:

Would like to re-sign, expect them to leave: Wollacott, Payne, Reed, Baudry (to retirement)
Would like to re-sign, expect them to stay: Odimayo, Conroy, Egbo, Williams, Hunt, Aguiar, Dabre
Happy from them to go: Lyden (sadly), Idem, JML, East

What are the chances of Payne and Reed staying then. The squad does seem the have a real togetherness and who knows what our financial position is now we’re out of the embargo (Not showing on the EFL website anymore)

Reed, Payne & Maybe AK (he had other interest last season) may depend what other offers they get whether they decide to stay.

It is expected we will be a promotion chasing team next season, some players will like that idea rather than going to a team that will just play lower level L1 football depends on the thoughts of the player (and their agent).

I think we'll need at least 2 new Centre Backs for next season but the core of the side should hopefully be retained. The one I am unsure on is Jack Payne, do we push the boat out for him or use his wages to fund 2 decent players. Also what do we do with the lesser spotted Lyden?

Reed is too good to stay
Payne is too expensive

that's my expectationss. Along with a bid for McKirdy.

Can see a near total rebuild of key positions

But hey, I could be wrong again

I'd like to see Lyden back if he can prove his fitness over the summer.
He was unlucky with the injury.
