Would be gutted if Hunt went but wouldn’t surprise me if he linked up with Wellen’s at Orient.

Not surprised if Conroy isn’t offered deal. If he was to stay I don’t see him as captain material.
Conroy can’t continue to be captain, we need some with some leadership and organisational skills in that role, first half last night it was again lacking and Baudry was the only one trying to sort it. Can’t imagine his ego would allow him to lose the captaincy and not be an automatic starter so makes sense for all parties that he leaves.

I love Hunty but Egbo is an improvement on Hunt. Egbo with Hunt as sub would be preferable but if he Hunty wants to go and play for Wellens again, then fair enough.

100 agree. Hunt been poor for last two seasons for me. Mr consistent and solid under wellens in 19/20 but far far from it since. A fit EGBO in a back 5 is a better player.

Without doubt a squad overhaul will now follow.

Hunts a good defender. He's just not an attacking wing back.

I would prefer a squad overhaul myself.

Perhaps but maybe it’s better the devil you know?

A complete squad overhaul and we could literally finish anywhere next season. Complete lottery.

Three seasons here, he's played 24 games in 19/20, then 15 in 20/21 and 14 this season, including sub appearances. I'd love him to prove his fitness, but I can't see it happening.

A quick chat to him last night and reckons he would be back in October. A good friend of mine who is a Villa fan always said that his injury problems was why they let him go.

The only way we can have Lyden back is as pay as you play IMO.

I feel awful saying that, but we don't have the luxury of 1/4 season players.

We need at least 2 mobile centre backs, a more physical centre mid and one of those players needs to be real leader.  And then of course at least 2 centre forwards and a replacement for Barry. That’s still an overhaul regardless of whether we keep hold of the Reed, Williams, McKirdy, Payne spine.

We need 2 new centre backs and a centre forward, Davidson for all his work off the ball is terrible with the ball.

Maybe Simpson to come back if we can afford him.

Only way I can see Payne staying is if he can't get a better deal elsewhere as we'll probably offer him reduced terms.

I can see Reed staying, also think McKirdy will will want to continue with us.

Simpson? Loan likely if he fits in our plans and Ipswich do not want to play him in their first team.
Payne would get a better deal here if his deal has expired and we want to keep him.
I thought McKirdy had signed an extension already?

Expecting to leave - Jojo Wollacott, Dion Conroy, Jordan Lyden, Ryan East.

Not sure about Odimayo. Expect Dabre and Aguiar to play more of a part next season. If we can re-sign Baudry, Egbo, Reed, Williams and Payne... That's a solid foundation to build around with Ward, Iandolo and McKirdy also on the books.
