I survived. It wasn't *that* bad, although there was some occasional banging from the room above, throughout the whole stay. I told my girlfriend it was probably just the cleaner hoovering, which I think she kind of believed at 4.30 in the afternoon, but not at 2 in the morning.

Bed was uncomfortable as fuck, but I guess they aren't meant for sleeping Hmmm...

I was so intrigued that I looked up the Tripadvisor; that really is a cracking set of reviews.  I particularly liked the recurring  "we didn't think it could be as bad as the reviews but it really was" theme.

Reading those reviews has brightened my morning. I'll respond with the hotel a few of my colleagues were booked into a few months back...

I saw someone try and jump in front of a train today.
I've seen a lot of trauma/people in immense distress, but it really shook me up. The train had to grind to a halt, and I was convinced I was about to see someone get hit by a train right in front of me and not be able to do anything about it. So much so that I genuinely moved back so I wouldn't have to be hit by any blood.

She was pulled up by a stranger who risked his own life to do so, which just adds to the confused feelings I have right now.

Obviously not trivial, but eh.. I had to get it out somewhere.

Day 2 of corporate strategy workshops tomorrow - at the end of which I may have a job, or may not.

Shit day full of corporate bollocks, plus petrified of the results... yay! At least I get a say in the future of what we're doing I guess.

Jumpers are something you never quite forget or come to terms with. Get some help, see your doc for advice. Seeing the front of a train afterwards is grim stuff.

Peppa bloody Pig.

What I want to know is: How many jobs does Mrs Rabbit have? There's something shifty going on there!

Its Miss Rabbit, Mrs Rabbit is a stay at home mum as illustrated in the episode when Miss Rabbit hurts her leg and everyone has to do all her jobs whilst she struggles to look after the little rabbits at home. I have always suspected its a tax dodge of some sort.

Mr Pig gets a lot of grief as a comedy fool character, however remember this is a pig, who has qualified as an architect, thats a hell of an achievement.

Thankfully we seem to be coming out the other side of the Peppa Pig obsession, Bing is the favourite now!

Quite.

Bring up our kids thinking that casual fraud is OK and they'll grow up to be money launderers for Al Qaeda and ISIS. It's a fucking disgrace.
