How the fuck did "Richmond Sausages" become the "Nation's Favourite"? What a load of bollocks!

Haha, I quite like them. They’re almost my default sausage. I generally don’t give a fuck what’s in my food though, just whether I like it or not.

That's just marketing for "they're bloody cheap, so we sell more than anyone else".

42% pork is the minimum allowed by law. And also why they aren't "pork sausages", just "sausages"

And ours. We don't really buy sausages that much but Richmond skinless are our default also.

Although we have just come back from Scotland with a case load of square sausages, the king of sausage and perfect for a roll and HP sauce!

We've just had a change of Chef in out works canteen and im sure he's changed to Richmond Sausages. I had a sausage and bacon sandwich and the sausages were just mush with no texture to them.

Is that for retail or catering? When I was in the meat trade years ago catering sausage meat was at a lower % than retail. Plus of that % there was no stipulation of actual meat....probably different now. However, my rule of thumb when buying processed meat products, sausages, burgers, cooked ham etc is this. If you cannot see the meat structure walk on by.

We used to say that you could use every part of a pig....except the squeal 🤫

I don't know.. can't you ask me African or European?

anyway it's mentioned here about sausage rolls having to have the same minimum meat content as sausages, 42% for pork sausage (roll) and 32% for sausage (roll)
