Why are the young of big cats such as Tigers and Lions called cubs and not kittens?
Just because they are, and that's a genuine answer. It's arbitrary, there's no rules determining what they should be called. |

Many years ago I got slated by some bint in a supermarket after I moved her unattended trolley so I could get to the mushrooms. She took offence  I told her she shouldn't have left it unattended. Go me |

You know them plaques on benches with nice views? ‘Arthur loved this place...’? In Taunton town centre Sainsbury’s (not Hankridge), there’s a bench on the way to the loo, inside the supermarket, for some bloke who ‘always had a smile on his face’ or some such. I’ve told my missus, if I pop my clogs before her, I want one in a nice place that sez ‘fuck off and find your own seat’. |
