Assuming he is actually responsible for their pathway development this year I've got to say fair play to Gunning. The loans do seem to have improved each of the players so far & allowed them to make a step up to either getting into the team like Kirkman, or moved to a higher loan level.

Considering how high they all were on Redman Evans last summer hopefully he's done well at Westbury & will move up soon as well.

Sean McGurk saying at Yeovil until the EOTS, that’s his town career done I’d say.

Speaking at a fans’ forum on Tuesday night, Cooper said: “We have agreed to keep him until the end of the season. I had a brilliant conversation with Ian (Holloway, the Swindon Town manager) last night, h e loves Sean to bits, but Sean just wants to play. He has great ability, we need to get him fitter but he is one that takes the level up.

“When we talk about players that get bums on seats and are exciting, he is one of the type of player we are trying to attract, but believe me it is really difficult. He has enjoyed his time and he will be a good one for us for the rest of the season.”

I thought that too, that's basically throwing him under a bus.

I remember similar happening with Tyler Smith. Sheff Utd were a bit poor about if he was to go back and then Jurassic John decided that he didn't really want him. The lad was left in limbo. But I think that was very similar for all the Smiffs that season and I'm sure they all thought Well I Wonder, Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, and What Difference Does It Make? At least Travers didn't have to ask ''How Soon Is Now?''

Depends. I would assume we have the option to trigger another year on his deal.

I think he's just not what we need *now* but a change in system for next season and not being in a relegation scrap could see him integrated back into the squad. And he'll be better for it after 6 months of solid football at Yeovil.

Especially with Holloway wanting to go 4-3-3.

I think everyone can see McGurk is a talent but he doesnt currently fit into the style that Holloway is playing, so it makes sense if Yeovil will play him and will cover his wages then it has to be good for all parties.

I hope we have the option of an extention on his contract as in the right team I think he will be a great asset.

We need to get players off our books to be able to get new players in as Clem blatantly wont up the budget any more and lets face it...nobody will want any of our castoffs and if they do then they must be desperate. Any player that leaves us will almost certainly go to the National league as their next move at best.

I am particularly looking at Cain and Uwakwe TBH plus maybe Glatzel (altho he will come good I am sure) and Johnson, still not convinced by Butterworth too, I see him as being at a lower standard than McGurk and playing in a position that doesnt suit Ollies style too.

#STFC can confirm that Billy Kirkman has sprained his Medial Collateral Ligament during our game against Barrow and is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks.

That's a blow.

If that happened to Carlisle they'd have already signed 3 replacements!

Probably better than initially expected, it sounded like his season was over initially.

Can a mod amend the list at the start of the thread please? Longelo needs removing, McGurk & Evans' loans have been extended until the end of the season & Hart is now at Farnborough for a month on a youth loan.
Not sure whether Mitchell's deal at Hereford has been extended though.
