Ollie sounds far too sensible for Swindon Town.

Appreciate what he’s saying as well, clearly wants to keep more than he originally planned so wants to see if they accept the offers. Said if the players he’s not keeping want to come out & confirm they’re leaving, they can, he won’t drop their names in the public domain at this time.

Guess it won’t make much difference. If things haven’t been agreed already then any retained list this week would have just been “X negotiating, X released” and we’d have been none the wiser to who was staying until they signed anyway.
Only thing we don’t get now is confirmation on who’s gone but again makes little difference at this point, if they’re gone then they’re gone

I think we can probably have a good guess at who is leaving - and then those offered new deals it remains to be seen how much they want, and of course if they get approaches from any other clubs

I was just looking at this. I don't think a club can approach (officially) any OOC player we have offered a contract to unless they have rejected the offer in writing. We have until the 3rd Saturday in May (17th) to make an offer to them. I think (but couldn't find the rule) that we have to inform the EFL of released players by the third Saturday. So we can derive that if they are OOC on June 30th and aren't on the EFL "free players list" then they are in negotiation. Not that it matters in the real world I think. Players will be tapped up left right and centre.

Cox must have been one of the highest earners at the club so im not too bothered by that.
Interesting that both Glatzel and Drinan have been offered contracts.
Glad Ofoborh and Ripley have been offered contracts.

I would also say Hall, perhaps even Khan....seemed that we threw some money around that summer on some dross

Interesting last summer we gave the scholars two-year pro deals, whereas this time round (asides Ameen) we have extended their scholarship, presumably much cheaper.

I imagine Hall would have been on the highest wages at the club

I'm pretty sure this is close to accurate ( https://salarysport.com/football/league-two/swindon-town/) so yes Cox's wages, with his injury record, would seem like a big risk. So not surprised he is gone. I'm surprised Glatzel has been offered a deal. He picked up at the end of the season, but largely only played because Drinnan was injured. For what its worth i'm told the following are people he would like to move on (he has spoken about being annoyed about how much of next seasons budget is committed to under contract players he doesn't want), there may be others. Sobowale Delaney Butterworth Minturn

I have heard similar but thats the first I have heard that Minturn is after a move though.
