I mean Johnson looked ok in that 20 minutes he played injured before never being seen again didn’t he?

Does most include your Ofoborh’s and Drinans? That would be a shame.
He said yesterday as long as Drinan’s fitness is there then he will 100% offer him something.

The apps thing is probably best read with minutes which tells a slightly different story:

Wright 4056
Kilkenny 3322
Smith 3213
Cotterill 2634
Sobowale 2546
Freckleton 2364

Glatzel’s appearances are for only 1920 mins.

Will Wright is a machine.

How quickly I have managed to forget one of the most pointless (in obviously more ways than 1) signings ever in the clubs history.

It may well be that in this instance, the player simply wasn't good enough (he only made 3 appearances with York according to Wiki) but given how he helped Freckleton turn things around you do wonder what Holloway might have been able to get out of him and other players who have come and gone before that who looked like a waste of space....Jayden Mitchell Lawson for example...or even Tomi Adeloye?

Jeff king played 10 games in total but just 3 starts, got a couple of injuries in that time too.

He just wasnt good enough for league football.

I think JML and TA have both found their natural level TBH, I do think he could have got more out of a lot of players but I think Freckleton is a better long term prospect due to his age and 1st team exposure with us and Chesterfield, he just had massive blow to his confidence thanks for a couple of high profile early season mistakes and the awful tactics of Mark Kennedy.

I would be happy to give him another go next season after heavily criticising him early season, he has won me over since Ollie arrived.

Confidence and man management are massively underrated these days as players seem to be in their own little cocoons both on and off the pitch. As well as tactics suiting some players and other tactics not.

Fit the tactics to the players not visa versa as Kennedy (and Flynn previously)  tried to do.

Glatzel being the assist king surprises me. A decent ratio to minutes played, too

Freckleton said after the Franchise game to BBC Wilts that he would be interested in coming back here. 73 senior appearances and he is only 21 years old, something to work with.

Doesn’t appear that the retained list will be out anytime soon. Holloway has given an update to Wilts Sound.

In the linked article below there's a handy reminder of the efl rules relating to retained lists.

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25138449.blackburns-contract-picture-efl-rules-announcements/

Efl have to be notified by mid May. No obligation for clubs to publish, though they usually do.
