Morshead values the NBS sponsorship lost at £35k p/a. Not huge money, but enough to matter. Certainly think that would have more than covered some discounted tickets.

Spencer is on FB claiming we lost money on it. Obviously peddling Hall’s and the clubs naive view that all those that bought tickets via Nationwide would have attended anyway. |

He’s probably right. Nationwide haven’t been properly involved in the club since they were shirt sponsors about 27 years ago. |

How the fuck do you lose money on something like that? Earning less than they think they could get through other methods, sure. But lose money? What, it costs more than £14 a person to administer? |

Hall is not the sharpest tool in the box. He is indeed assuming every person buying these tickets would have otherwise paid full walk up price. He's pretty much said as much before and AB minutes back up that line of thinking with those that "run" the club. He also presumes season ticket holders would just pay increased on the day prices if removed I think, surprised he hasn't suggested it. The small issue of no income in June and July would bite as and when it happened, rather than be planned for. |

The £35k a season and losing money would mean 152 people going per game (a £10 loss a game). However, that would only be the case if all of the 152 people carry on going. |

You still aren't losing money. You just think you can make more. How many tickets did Nationwide employees take up I wonder. Clearly more than the 152 offset to full price that the sponsorship covers. |

To be fair to the club, that is an incredibly generous discount and can understand why they would want to look at changing it. The hope is clearly that enough fans will come to enough games (or get season ticket) at the increased ticket price, as well as getting a new sponsor that is able to provide the same or higher level of income.
