That all depends DV, if you are trying to show to your friends that wife is a good wife and spends wisely for the benefit of your family, you probably want her to answer.  Also, you are not going to get as many buyers for your wife if she won't say where the money goes.   I think you need to press, or you'll be stuck with her running up the credit card.  Heaven forbid you put her in charge of the kitchen remodel.

Yeah but she’s given me financial accounts - so it’s all good, right?

Bills don’t really need to paid on time do they?

Either you care enough either way to be part of the JV and pay the £20, or you don't.

Fair enough personal choice. It's not a closed shop.

She is crocheting a football pitch though - so that’s enough to convince me she has good intentions…

I do. Does that change what I said? The financial information can't just file millions under a category like admin fees or football and not tell us where its going. That isn't the transparency and access that was promised. You cannot possibly think it is. Suspect you're just a bad faith troll at this point.

Any comment on Zav still claiming to be Vice Chair to everyone he meets? Going to dive in on semantics on that as well and say that we didn't actually hear Zav say it himself so maybe it was just a misunderstanding?

I think you are trolling me? I would love that information but that level of information was never promised. I'm not sure what big jump in admin costs you are referring to either?

The entire conversation on the accounts and who is being paid what is not the right question to be asking.

Clem himself has said multiple times over the years they did no due diligence with the reason of time but truth is, the accounts were a mess back then and they are in a worst state now.

Even if the Club wanted to be open and honest about how many wheelbarrows of money Hart is taking out of the club each week, the fact is that they don’t have a clue.

The question needs to be to Clem, if you desire to run the club on a sustainable financial footing, the bedrock to any business is knowing what is being spent and earned to the penny with forecasts and management accounts that can be produced at the click of a button. Why after all of these years are the books still a mess and still unable to produce Management Accounts as agreed to under the now breached MOU?

Had the leadership of the Trust board at the time not been so far up Clem’s ringhole and instead challenged him and Rob proactively to get it sorted from day 1 that MOU was signed, we might be in a different place… Which leads me to wonder if the accounts a mess by design.

That’s the nutcracker question for me as the rest of the questions are redundant until the books are in better shape and you don’t have a part qualified bookeeper pretending to be an accountant and CEO who only knows how to intimidate people and run businesses into the ground.

On the thorny question of ‘admin expenses’, I presume that whatever they actually are are disclosed to HMRC?

I believe that HMRC have been into the GG three times over the last few years and have not found any irregularities. Whether that means HMRC have not dug too deeply, the owner(s) have cleverly hidden any alleged financial misdeeds or there is absolutely nothing to be worried about. Who really knows?

The accounts are completely a mess by design.  There's no question about that.

It simply isn't credible that, after several years of ownership, they can't break out the cost base in a meaningful fashion without deferring to 'Fair Game' (whatever that is).

The suspicion that money is leaving the club in ways that most of us would not approve of will linger until all of that changes.

I think there is a name for when the make your accounts a mess on purpose to make it confusing and hard to trace. Ask our not vice chair/matchday guest, I reckom he knows what its called.

Why is it assumed Hart is some kind of ‘chosen one’ when it comes to remuneration? Why would he get any lion’s share of the dodgy admin expenses? My theory is that the admin expenses are part and parcel of ‘My Beautiful Launderette’.

Legally you don't have a right to know? While it would be great to know the details, what business shows that. If they went to the next level down of detail, you still wouldn't know, the only way to find out is go through every payment made, is that what you are suggesting?
3rd time. Do you honestly not think any of those mentioned are not taking a penny from the club

I mean that level of information was never specifically promised as in we will show you a breakdown in admin expenses

…but…we were promised specifically that the owners would be open & transparent.

One could argue that not giving anyone any breakdown of admin expenses could in theory go against being open & transparent, no?

Even if it wasn’t broken down to each specific cost & the club just gave us a list of things that go into admin expenses it would be something - something people wouldn’t take as face value, granted but still something that they could at least argue was open & transparent.

I think that's the whole issue, people are taking the open and transparent to different levels.

The expectation to see line by line is not based on reality, did last year's accounts and fair game report given a certain level of transparency, yes it did.  Would I like to see more... Yes I would.
