Talking of the media, have any of them ever done a proper investigative deep dive on the various characters lurking in the shadows and the skeletons in their closets, nothing the media likes more than salacious stories about this sort of thing and even if the locals did it I would expect it to be picked up by the bigger outlets if it was dirty enough?
Good statement from the Trust (perhaps whoever drafted it could go and do media for the fucking club!) although I don't seem to be getting emails from them about surveys etc??
It takes alot of time and resources to do an investigation. There's very often no paper trails, and when there are they will be off shore in more discrete locations. It took a leak from a lawyer in Cyprus with a huge bundle of documents to reveal that Abromovic gave £1.25m to Lee Power to play Chelsea loanees and not get promoted. The journalists didnt care about Swindon or Power, Abramovic was the name and the headline worth spending time on. Bury (2 time FA cup winners) barely got a mention till it was almost dead, suspect that's where are in the world outside the TEF.

I can imagine a very reasonable scenario where there have been plenty of approaches from interested buyers - but things get tricky clem says what is asking price is and/or the buyer asks for a full look at the books and business operations.

I was thinking of in Hart and Austin's cases there are already historic journalistic pieces out there, yeah its small fry but for a local journo if its fruity enough it could get picked up ny the nationals and make a name, although like all local jorno's these days there is no cash in it. TBF the Bury stuff was a dodgy businessman, Don't think he reached the salacious heights of doing time nor being Britains most wanted.... DM me baby
As you were, think they have been going into spam folder or I've been pissed when opening them and missed the links Ta muchly!

The continuing opacity of ownership and the evident lack of a plan in the face of deep, deep decline on and off the pitch and the persistent discrepancy between what Morfuni says and what he does is pissing me off. Morfuni's ousting of Power DID just help illuminate the enviable future potential of our historical club. He has turned that future potential into a joke. He is STFC's custodian and if he is beholden to others, as he may be, the time has long past when he needs to stand up for STFC and smoke any others out into the light of day. And smell the coffee. And cut his own losses. And publish a realistic asking price. If any in the shadows don't like that price or threaten to block it then they need to be smoked out now.
But I have a question. And please answer diplomatically, ie "it has been alleged by some", " it is only a personal opinion", "there have been suspicions that" etc .....BUT can anyone explain to me what is so damaging about Zav and Kiely?

I asked ChatGPT to summarise this in 50 words: Swindon Town FC faces a critical juncture, sitting 23rd in League 2 and at risk of relegation. Years of mismanagement and poor leadership under Clem Morfuni have led to the club’s decline. The Trust now supports peaceful, lawful protests for ownership change while urging fans to back the team on matchdays.

Feels like it's perhaps time to strap ourselves in, the next few months could be very interesting.
The January transfer window could be very telling. If the club's silver starts going for a song then we surely know that Clem and Co are trying to cash in before going for a cool sharp harp exit (we hope the latter)
surely he'd be better off trying to secure EFL safety and then selling. But then that would be smart and he isn't.

Good from the Trust, but 6 months too late. You have to wonder if the statement would've been this strong if the SO69 movement hadn't of started. Let's be honest, the Trust have been made to look a bit silly off the back of it.
It shouldn't take things to become THIS bad for them to take action.
Agree, but glad things are happening.

Better late than never I guess. Real sad times that this movement has become something positive in a sea of shitness and depression.
Equally when you actually look forward to doing something that feels more rewarding than going through the turnstiles watching your club.
It shows what we can do when there is some level of unity. Its a great club with great potential as shown by our false dawn with 10k attendances.

The matter of public record seems bad enough.

That would involve staffing the club above a skeleton crew level, employing enough people to do jobs they have experience in and allowing the good people currently at the club to focus on one role, rather than spreading themselves way too thin. Paying creditors on time, funding the club properly, etc etc, instead we're on life support dangling above the non league trap door.

Everybody knew those demands wouldn't be met though, based on the evidence we have seen so far with this regime. That's why it feels like wasted time.
Peeling back an onion layer on this from my time serving on the board through this, let’s put it this way… When the Trust published the Open Letter, the Trust was standing on their own. Every fan based organisation sat in the Supporters Group meeting that followed had daggers for the Trust with very high criticism. Whilst the majority of fans applauded the Open Letter, we (the Trust) copped a fair amount of flack from concerned supporters what forcing Clem and his merry band of men from town would leave behind with no prospective buyer in the wings ready to step in. Historically, the Trust has only ever called for protests and boycotts when someone has been lined up (Bill Power and Clem), which isn’t the same situation this time around. Being on the board, trust me, it’s well known what a shit state the club is in off the field and how badly it’s been ran. The conversations that have been had, Clemente hasn’t taken what was said well at times (The stories that could be told!!).. It’s a hard thing to call but until the SO69 popped up, the Trust were stood alone as a fan group and all other entities speaking out to defend the club. So whilst to some items taken time, there are plenty of reasons to why it hasn’t moved quicker and in large politics between the fans has been a challenge to navigate through. Personally, it was only a matter of time until the Trust arrived at this point. I expected it to be a missed HMRC payment or Clem’s business activity coming to a boil that needed one more trigger to fire the gun on this. The entire strategy has been to collective represent as many of the fanbase as possible with calm, rational, logical steps with giving the Clem plenty of opportunity to demonstrate his intentions. As Nemo said after the Open Letter, it feels like the Trust has given rope for Clem to hang himself.. Nemo was bang on correct. It’s a shame it’s come to this. In an ideal world, Clem would have listened and acted on the advice given but he’s tone deaf to any feedback and genuinely thinks “win a few games and the fans will be happy” as demonstrated by Hall’s tone deaf comments in response to SO69 where the performances haven’t been enough and completely failing to acknowledge the issues are not on the pitch… Anyways, hope that helps put at least some of it into context.

No. I'm not challenging Zav and Kiely's poor reputation. I'm genuinely lighter on background here than I perhaps ought to be. Unless they are merely one mild irritation and symptom of Clem's chairmanship and nothing more. They sure sound like tossers but I'm just curious about what sort of evidence , proven or otherwise, there might be of an actual negative influence on our Club itself?

I mean, Zav has been convincted of money laundering and can't pass the EFL's fit and proper person test. Yet he is clearly representing the club and "rumoured" to be acting as a director.
Keily (and wife, Hollie) are big in the horse racing world and are pally with none other than Mr Lee Power. Chris is the son of Dean Keily - Power's alledged best mate.
