Feels like it's perhaps time to strap ourselves in, the next few months could be very interesting.
The January transfer window could be very telling. If the club's silver starts going for a song then we surely know that Clem and Co are trying to cash in before going for a cool sharp harp exit (we hope the latter)

Good from the Trust, but 6 months too late. You have to wonder if the statement would've been this strong if the SO69 movement hadn't of started. Let's be honest, the Trust have been made to look a bit silly off the back of it.
It shouldn't take things to become THIS bad for them to take action.

Better late than never I guess. Real sad times that this movement has become something positive in a sea of shitness and depression. Equally when you actually look forward to doing something that feels more rewarding than going through the turnstiles watching your club.

I agree to a point. But you could also say they’ve played it reasonably well. They set out their list of demands in the summer which haven’t been met and have also polled their members to see the appetite for protest etc, which has been met with a large majority. The Trust always had to go more evidence based than feeling based. I would have liked to had seen them more proactive earlier on but we are where we are. Might be too late to keep us up this year, but the wheel is certainly in motion now.

I think the time for any debate as to whether it should have taken this long is over. It is a clear statement from which there is no turning back for the Trust. Now is the time for everyone to join together and do everything that it necessary to force the owners out of town, never to return.
I don’t see it as a sad thing that it’s come to this (as Banbury mentions above). I hear what you’re saying, but this shows that there is still energy in the fan base, and we must harness that enthusiasm, play the long game, and make sure we end up with the right people in charge.

Everybody knew those demands wouldn't be met though, based on the evidence we have seen so far with this regime. That's why it feels like wasted time.

Be interesting to know if the 6 months deadline was always the Trusts plan & we would have had a statement regardless or whether the SO69 formation has forced their hand a little.
I don’t remember seeing them mention a six month deadline in May (that’s not to say they didn’t)

Absolutely yes. I will be there on the 21st and I've purchased an extremely expensive Orange Hat to try and do my bit. I still think having concerns over the Trust going forward is a totally valid feeling though.

Twas internal and considered from the get go "Within the Trust Board we had a six month time frame in mind, for the club to change the leadership and management strategy being adopted by the owner. In that time, things have gotten worse, not better."

Very well worded trust statement that. (Orange) Hats off to them The more coverage in the real media is badly needed so fans without social media (of which there are a lot) can open their eyes to the current regime and predicament we find ourselves in. Lets get rid of these shysters asap but as the statement says we are running out of time to save our league position.

This 100%. Credit to these guys for being the ones that put this movement together. It’s been long overdue.

Talking of the media, have any of them ever done a proper investigative deep dive on the various characters lurking in the shadows and the skeletons in their closets, nothing the media likes more than salacious stories about this sort of thing and even if the locals did it I would expect it to be picked up by the bigger outlets if it was dirty enough?
Good statement from the Trust (perhaps whoever drafted it could go and do media for the fucking club!) although I don't seem to be getting emails from them about surveys etc??

The Trust statement again is very positive, if not a little too late! It does make me question that Phipps leaving the Trust allowed this statement to happen and how much more was he forcing the hand of the Trust to save his relationship (Friendship) with Clem!
