But for how long?

PS I know you are being sarcastic, so not aimed at you

True on both counts, as if it wasn't frustrating enough being a town fan we are lumbered with this lot

Not really denying that we don't have much money, but we never seem to be short of the money to sack three managers a season. Are these people just signing contracts with generous break clauses or can we find money for that somehow when there's no other money around?

Admin expenses?  Hmmm

Lots of thoughts i'm not going to detail at the moment, but despite the myriad of questions for Clem and who owns what, or what the long term looks like i think to some extent at the moment the be all and end all is the on field situation.

Is the budget what it should be? Probably not, but its still more than enough for us not to be in a relegation scrap.

Has the budget been spent poorly? Yes, but the squad can still perform a hell of a lot better than bottom 2.

Are the right people running the team? No. I don't think Holloway and his arm waving is whats going to get us out of this mess. Someone should be able to do it though.

People talking about phoenix clubs, or its better to go down to get rid of Clem. ITS NOT. Going down will be horrific on every possible level with not a single positive.

It leaves me torn honestly. Do i want to support this regime? No. But fuck me i want to do what i can to support the team getting out of this mess as the alternative is not worth considering.

With the benefit of hindsight, are Morfuni & his cronies any better or worse than Power and his bunch of crooks.

To be fair under either of them the club was in dire straights, albeit we never looked like being a non league club under Powers mob

Worse by the looks of it.

I don't think anyone is saying that going down would be better to get rid of Clem, just some asking the question would you take the massive negative of going down if it meant a fresh break from the crooks.

The two aren't really logically linked. At the moment it'll be going down and not getting rid of them, which means you may as well fold the club (hence the phoenix club talk)

Unfortunately relegation seems inevitable.

If we can get out of it this season - then next season will be the one, unless we see some drastic changes…

What I really fail to understand is how many people still back Clemente et al.
I have read a lot of "we will be fine" with regards to avoiding relegation, as if that is an acceptable outcome to the season. Absolutely baffling

My own Dad appears to be a fan of Clem. He is in his mid 70's and doesn't have twitter or listen to podcasts, so his exposure to off field matters is mainly Radio Wilts and the Adver. He seems totally oblivious to the things we all talk about and takes most of the things he hears from Clem to be gospel.

Looking at the fan base, I kind of feel that most pro Clem are of a similar age and don't care about off field matters. Perhaps because they never had the access to all of that stuff in the past, so don't care now. But that still doesn't explain why so many aren't more angry about our league position.

I don't think we have the most passionate fanbase to be honest. Even when we are doing well most will sit in silence and watch.
Protests ain't gonna happen, most are either in denial or just accept the inevitable.
Apart from the odd game, buying the cheapest possible ticket, I'm not really contributing financially and don't intend to.

I realise fans have different motivations for going to football, some just want to "watch the football" but this is the 3rd or 4th time in the last 20 years the club has been on the brink either in financial or football position, so why do some fans just accept the poor ownership of our club repeating itself?
Trust why are they holding off  calling for protest / actively campaigning for a new owner of the club, when they were happy to force Power out ? Power and Morfuni have been equally as bad for our Club, wakeup before its too late. Trust needs to move from PR mode and adopting a more militant / direct mode.

I think it’s somewhat fatigue with our fans as well.
How many times in the past have we protested & forced owners out just for the football club to continue stagnating (at best) or get worse.

Like the feeling is we will get Clem out & the next broke chancer in. Rinse & repeat.

Plus, even if we got good solid modestly affluent owners in - there is still the growing gap between the have & have not’s - our fortunes wouldn’t change over night & the best we could hope to achieve is getting to the dizzy heights of L1.

BBC Radio Swindon should do better. They read out a text blaming the fans Saturday. You cannot tell me that is the only text they got.

Classic. It's not the people in charge, the owner, the DoF, the manager, the players... no no, it's the people who sit there watching this shite that are to blame. Of course!
