Trust have emailed another update criticising the club for the photo and the fact it wasn't mentioned anywhere that the Trust and its members paid for the statue on the clubs social media posts

That Henry Port guy?
Yep, lasted just over a year. No port in a storm.

If only we had a well known fan who was embedded at a major journalistic outlet who could have a word and get someone to do a proper 'digging it all up because there's bound to be some dirt' journalistic investigation.
Anyone have Dave Squires' number? Asking for a friend.

Not been mentioned anywhere. Very long and arduous process. This lot will probably appoint a traffic warden

It wouldn't surprise me if Henry was gone. I spoke to him a few weeks back around something, he seemed pretty fed up that everything always seemed to be going wrong and causing the fans to react. Ghost gate and now the QPR programme debacle have probably been the last straws.

I mean the 'Head' of media job at our place has consistently for the last few years been an opportunity to appoint a young lad and pay them not a lot. They come in with enthusiasm and optimism and improved the output from the end of their predecessors era (which has normally dropped off from their starting period), and then they realize how fucked up STFC is, they put the 1yr experience on their CV and go and get a better job getting paid more elsewhere.

The trust survey is really encouraging and suggests hope of a protest/movement is round the corner.
If the trust divorce the club I wonder if they can shotgun the townend half of the ground 🫡

The trust survey went to members due to there being a member survey in there....if you think you ought to have received it (via membership not just vibes) feel free to DM me.
If anyone wants to post the body of the email I can't stop you

1969 Trust Programme Article
On a day that we were celebrating our 1969 winners, we ended Saturday feeling despondent (and not just because of the result on the pitch).
For each home game programme, we provide words for our article - we pass them over to the Club and we come along on a match day to buy a programme and see how our words have been set out. We don’t get to proof read or approve the final product and we don’t use members' money to buy space in the programme.
We absolutely share your utter frustration and disappointment regarding the use of a picture of QPR winning the league cup in 1967 in a Trust article celebrating Town’s 1969 success. We also note that in the Club’s statue unveiling social media posts, not once was it mentioned that it was commissioned by the Trust and paid for by Trust members.
We have already reached out to the Club to share our thoughts and to establish how/why it happened. Whatever the reason, it should have been avoided and has soured what should have been a celebration weekend.
Joint Venture Business Plan
Thanks to all members who took the time to share their thoughts in the recent Business Plan vote which closed yeterday. Over 500 members participated, of which 92% supported the plan.
Many of you left separate comments and questions and we’ll be reviewing and summarising these in the days ahead.
Engaging with members
Without doubt, these are dark days for Swindon Town supporters. Results on the pitch and issues off the pitch are not acceptable. We recognise your angst and as Town supporters ourselves, we share your concern. But please don’t misplace our silence with anything other than we are trying to find solutions and can’t always do this publicly. That said, we should communicate more and we promise that we’ll do so.
In our communication following the open letter we promised we would regularly engage with our members. Whilst we see a lot of opinions on social media, we know that a lot of members either don’t use or don’t contribute to online forums etc. With that in mind we have prepared a brief member survey below which will close at 3pm on Saturday. We’ll follow this up with a six-month supporter survey as we did at the end of last season.

I thought I was a member but maybe not, I’ve just tried signing up on the website and having issues.
