Habit, addiction?

I’ve found it quite easy to break the habit this season. I haven’t been since the Newport win, and tbh I’m happy just listening on the radio or watching on Sky Sports. I won’t be returning until Clem’s gone.

I might be wrong and this is opinion only - but anyone else have the feel that players are being put into a shop window for January fire sale? Would explain the brown recall and sub appearance, McGregor over Sobowale. If we think it’s bad now, I think it’s going to get even worse in Jan

Well considering they spent the January budget in the summer to make us ‘competitive’ you probably arent far wrong.

Biggest budget since Di Canio though, which i believe is complete and utter horseshit.

Yep load of bollocks and even so with inflation you’d expect the budget to come close anyway  Roll Eyes

Honestly. I’m not sure selling off first team players & replacing with our own under 18 players would make us any worse.

I'd certainly take a look at Redman Evans right now...

The problem is Clem doesn’t know how much it means to the people, because we as a fanbase just sit and watch this club sink lower and lower. We need to show how much this means and start protesting about the way the club is run and demand a sale..

Maybe today is the straw that breaks the camels back, but if it’s not, what will it take…
This is the saddest thing for me. He absolutely does know what it means to people, probably more actually than many other owners elsewhere or here before and that's what makes it harder for me personally to accept.

He's sat with fans during games here and abroad, he's had fellow fans at his house. I've personally spent hours talking to him all things STFC. He's travelled to away games with fans up and down the country, been to fans houses for dinners and even pulled pints. He knows exactly what it means to fans.

Right up until recently I've genuinely believed he had right intentions but got in to deep and didn't understand just what a hold these others had on the club.

Now, who fucking knows ?

Luckily they had a chance to prepare for a restricted budget window last January. Rinse through the contact book for any U23 player who’s likely going to be released in the summer or who’s looking to get themselves into the shop window in preparation for the summer, ring up anyone who’s been at Swindon for more than 5 minutes in the past. Put them all on the pitch together and pray we finish above the dotted line.

(John McGreal voice) It’s Swindon town.

Part of me wants to agree with you. The other half is calling utter bollacks that Clem truly understands.

Clem knew the shit we’ve been dragged through for the last couple of decades as he’s used it in defence of his actions.

However, what gets me is that Clem has had more than enough time to sort out the overhang from Lee Power and where do we find ourselves? Off the pitch, we’ve got:
- a wanker for a CEO that doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing and arrogantly refuses to anyone who actually has a bit of an idea what they are on about
- a bookkeeper pretending to be an accountant and the books are unauditable.
- an Academy Manager pretending to be a Director of Football
- individuals banned from the EFL from having any involvement with the club still lurking in the background pulling strings
- Kiely hanging around and wouldn’t be surprised if he/ his wife was a front man for a certain someone else
- a solicitor that part owns the club carrying a reputation that includes involvement in the collapse of BHS
- Europe’s former most wanted working at the club as a Strength and Conditioning coach
- continued lies
- debt mounting up and multiple creditors unpaid
- any small redevelopment that has occurred has been cheap,  basic and not fit for purpose  (Legends Lounge as prime example)
- a Chairman that is living in denial to reality, pig headed enough to genuinely think a few wins on the board will change the tune of the fanbase and everyone will come flooding back.

Sorry, but Clem has had more than enough time to show signs of progress on all of that front yet the only progress being made is that it’s getting worse year on year.

If the worst was to happen to us this season and we did go down, I can’t see Clem turning this around and reverse the damage he’s done. I can’t only foresee that he will dictate that we need to be “sustainable” in the National League, which is a hyper competitive league and extremely difficult to escape plus the rebuild job on top of that

It’s been a car crash in slow motion and the writing has been on the wall for years but glad to hear you’ve finally snapped into reality to what Clem truly is. Clem is not the nice guy you think he is. When his business practices are being investigated and pursued through the courts to collect damages and Clem shrugs it off as “it’s just business”… There is nothing more to say but this club desperately needs new ownership and sadly the reality is, it won’t arrive before the end of the season to make a difference even if a white knight turned up today.

Despite us being joint bottom, we are still 4/1 for relegation, as offered by bookmaker, Bet365. What i do find odd is that Newport are just over 2/1 to go down yet are 8 (EIGHT) points better off than us currently.

Yeah I'm not really buying Clem doesn't get what it happening. He's a charmer so too many were taken in by him but the mask has slipped many times now.
