Trust have sent an update to members Yesterday two years of hard work came to fruition, with the TrustSTFC funded statue of Don Rogers being unveiled.
This statue is the first of a multi-phase project, we are excited to have provided the impetus for this area of the Nigel Eady County Ground site to be turned into a space for fans to enjoy and celebrate the greatest upset in English cup football.
Advisory Board
Members may be aware of speculation on social media surrounding the last Advisory Board (AB) meeting held on 7th November 2024.
Over the last few days the Trust Board have considered what was discussed and we’d like to take this opportunity to relay our initial thoughts.
We believe that the scope of the AB has drifted over the last eighteen months. The recent attendance has nearly doubled and the frequency has dropped to bi-monthly which means there is more content than time to discuss everything. When the AB first started three years ago, much of the discussion revolved around the business of the Club, whereas now there is a greater focus on the wider Swindon Town supporter community and what it is doing.
It is on this basis that we have worked together with the Official Supporters Club to prepare a revised Terms of Reference in an attempt to return to the original intentions and ambitions for this forum. The Terms of Reference has been shared with the Club and will be discussed with them in the coming days.
Going forwards
When operating as intended the AB gives us the best opportunity to represent members of TrustSTFC and the wider fanbase, which is why we are actively seeking to reset and refocus the meeting for the benefit of all participants and supporters.
We believe that each meeting should be minuted and shared in the public domain in full. However, we accept that certain discussions should be kept confidential but this should be agreed with meeting participants in advance.
We look forward to discussing our proposed Terms of Reference with the Club and other AB participants and will comment further when a common ground has been agreed.
Unanswered questions
In the meantime, we have resubmitted two questions directly to the club which we believe have not been answered before and we have encouraged them to provide a response prior to the next AB meeting.
Additionally, if a question is deemed to be a duplicate which has been answered previously then a link to this should be included, to avoid any confusion.
With best wishes,
The Board of Trust STFC

I’ve emails in my inbox from the trust going back to 2016 when at the time they wanted to build a new toilet block for Stratton Bank and construct a roof. Any progress?

Clem please just fuck off
40 years of supporting them and I’ve never known it this bad. We are joint bottom of the entire FL
Take your incompetent CEO, clown of a manager and the other hangers on with you
STFC is not just another business for you to fuck up it means an awful lot to a lot of people. Under your stewardship we are in the lowest position ever in the clubs history.
Time to put the club up for immediate sale and invite bidders

The problem is Clem doesn’t know how much it means to the people, because we as a fanbase just sit and watch this club sink lower and lower. We need to show how much this means and start protesting about the way the club is run and demand a sale.. Maybe today is the straw that breaks the camels back, but if it’s not, what will it take…

Several of the food and drink outlets in DRS were closed today including Digby’s bar? Is this normal? All good gone bar the food poisoning sausage rolls and cheese and onion pasties by end of half time. Didn’t fancy testing my self with an E. Coli inoculation so went with the latter and that was probably the highlight of the day to be honest, very pleasant and a warming distraction from the horrors of the weather, performance and our lowly league position!

Is there any scenario whereby getting relegated would be of benefit to Clem and the Gang?
If they are, indeed, making money from non footballing ways, maybe less scrutiny from the National League as opposed to the EFL?
The Holloway appointment has similarities with the Sheridactyl one - both at the fag end of their careers with no personal downside if they get the club relegated. There is no indication either from Clem or Hollowhead that they can be arsed about addressing our continuing slide out of the EFL

The Sheridactyl was a total cunt - I don't think Holloway is that. Other than the fact that we can drown our sorrows whilst watching this shite, I don't think there are any benefits from going out of the league - some clubs have come back stronger but the vast majority do not. A big ground in an even smaller league would be a disadvantage (costs a lot and no atmosphere) and also you receive less TV, sponsor and gate income, so it's bad for the owner and less viable for anyone who would wish to engage in more nefarious activities, which for the record, I'm not accusing anyone of.
