it's in the link bamboo

"You must be covered by a TV Licence to download or watch BBC programmes on BBC iPlayer – live, catch up or on demand. This applies to any device and provider you use."

Ahh gotcha. I was certain it used to be fine for previously recorded shows. They've either changed it or always was like that  Roll Eyes

For the Goat...if they don't watch/use any BBC services at all then of course they should cancel their licence. Still stand by the other stuff in the earlier post Smiley

This isn't the case. If you watch live tv in the UK on ANY channel  not just BBC hen you need a tv licence.

FFS - Yes I do know this.  I wasn't talking about about Live TV & BBC channels/services.

But if Goat is trying to only watch live TV then they will need one. If they aren't (and no BBC bollocks) then they're fine. Or Goat can just not pay them if they want? Smiley

It was just in his original post he makes it clear he watches live tv. So he needs the licence regardless of the debate around iplayer.

I must've been scan reading through (it was a bambooesque length post) and missed that part (convenient? honest), then it was too many comments deep and I'm not really one for deleting what's been said Smiley

Apologies. Yep understand all that. Must be a bit of a minefield for TV Licensing to keep track of you'd think? What with n amount of platforms and routes to get there. Albeit it's not limitless but once people start using other means to access, it surely becomes much harder. I swear they play the percentages, sending out threatening letters knowing it will give some old dear/vulnerable folk the willies of getting chucked in Porridge for not paying up the licence fee. Even if they only listen to Steve Wright on the wireless. Imagine that - getting sent to the clink for listening to Steve fucking Wright!

Some of you may remember a what's-on magazine called 'Out West' and subsequently 'Venue'. It used to contain reviews of films coming to TV and when the less than impressive 'Star Trek The Motion Picture' was shown, the revue was a pithy "Boldly go out".  It's on again this week and I would recommend heeding that advice.

That is a bit bizarre, a BBC programe available in the US on AMC and on Iplayer before it is aired on BBC UK?

I don't think its wholly BBC, even BBC American is only just over 50% BBC owned, think there are plenty of fingers in the pie??

I hope its better than series 3 which I thought was comparatively weak compared to its predecessors.
