Beats my £10.80 from London Northwestern Rail for Tuesday's issues i had getting home for sure. Smiley

In contrast, LNER {North Eastern} were absolutely brilliant with a delayed Edinburgh to nodnoL a few weeks back. Got my ticket price refunded via the usual delay repay and a ten quid ''meal credit'' to spend on board {a cuppa, bag of crisps and a sandwich covers it with change for a KitKat}.

Added bonus, some immovable object was sat in my seat, so I informed the Train Manager...they just said I could sit in First Class, so effectively a free upgrade. I hope seat pincher enjoyed the stunning views of North Berwick, Dunbar, Eyemouth, Berwick, Goswick, Bamburgh and Alnmouth.

I will say, even in Standard Class, the lap trays on LNER have plenty of room for travel snacks and ample room for a keep cup/thermos/water bottle etc  Wink

Edit: Not sure what happened to my original post on the thread

£ v € trading @ 1.2003 after LSE closes. Be interesting to see if it hold over night for when the far east markets open up.

Be nice to get to 1.22 next week just in time for me to buy a few beers in Cyprus.

Fly into Larnaca. Staying in Protaras, which is the other side of Aiya Nappa. About six miles. We got married in Paralimini which in turn is another five miles the other side of Protaras, next stop is  Famagusta which is a divided city. Our 25th when we are out there. Pilgrimage to so see where we went wrong all those years ago 🤣.   Really have a soft spot for the place, not been since 2016. Mind you so much has changed in 25 years.

I work with a Rovers fan and I have over the months managed to get the entire office to simply call his team Bristol - who are Bristol playing this weekend?

Its almost like  he has a tick when he gets asked a question with no refernece to City or Rovers. Its a decent size office to and it has taken me about a year to get 40 or 50 people to do it.

Now you need to get a few to come in on Monday and say ‘that was a good/adequate/bad result for Bristol against (insert name of Bristol City’s opponents) at the weekend’
