You're welcome. Monsieur* You would think living in a predominantly French speaking country I would be able to get something simple like that correct! Zut Alors!

Hearing that one of my friends (who is a Sikh and wears a turban) was out for a drink last night only for the French barmaid to 'hilariously' joke that she thought he had been caught and killed earlier in the day.

Job rejection phone calls. Having to make them specifically, how the fuck do I phrase "we're not hiring you" nicely?
"As you know, the criteria for this vacancy stipulated that we were looking for a bright, energetic candidate who could demonstrate excellence in a variety of disciplines. Feel free to consider yourself as falling outside those parameters"

Being told that I'm not going to Glasgow about 10 minutes after I checked in online.
Are all businesses hopelessly organised or just the ones that'll employ me?

Being told yesterday that I had a corporate ticket for the cup final only to be told today that somebody else has to go in my place.
To be honest I not THAT bothered as I am not good at coporate schmoozing, especially at footy, as I get pissed and shouty - but it would have been nice to have been to a final.

I've got free corporate tickets and transport to watch *Ahem* Reading *Ahem* tomorrow. I'm gonna wear a shirt and my STFC cufflinks

It's an opportunity to potentially watch Reading lose.

True...but they have a guaranteed play off place, they're riding high, getting good gates, lots of feel good. Honestly don't think I could stomach that right now. I'd spend the whole game remembering back to the times I went to Elm Park and thinking 'Why has none of this happened to us?'
But then I'm just bitter.
