On the train into work at 6 this morning, incredible amount of people draped in union flags etc. Insufferable cunts the lot of them, and I don't even get the day off.

A few million in a backdrop of billions of debt. A mere drop in the financial mire. Couldn't give a stuff about the wedding, but the day off is great.

And how much do the royals bring in? I suspect most of us pay more tax on one tank of fuel than the royal family costs us a year. It's just another glorious facet to shine in the pathetic class-wars that continually go on and on and on and on in this childish country. Without the Royal family and the wedding today I think our country would have nothing to be proud of and nothing to help push aside apathy every once in a while. I'm a cynical fuck, but today has restored some pride in this country. We're already a shit country, lets not start calling for the abolishment of one of the last remaining good things this country has because we're bitter over a few quid annoyed at a group of people in a class perceived above ours.

I think it works out we pay a pound each towards the royals. I don't mind the royal family, and think its a good thing that stops this country turning into an overamericanised wasteland. I do think the hyperbole over this wedding is riduculous though
