Who expected anything from them? Kane aside, they look bereft of anything resembling real talent - as in likely to go onto become anything close to being future world class players.

Chalobah looks awful.
Garbutt likewise
Both wingers are ordinary - all pace not much else
Ings - meh
Forster-Caskey - would bet he never gets a full cap
Pritchard - looked ok until injured but if he stands out against the rest that must be a worry because he's not there yet as a player
Ward-Prowse - meh
Kane - best of a bad bunch but still lacking enough to make him a real top player I think

Nothing there to excite us for a few years.  We seem to be creating a country of Henderson's.  Average to good players in the Prem that clubs use to fluff their squads out but the top countries won't even bother watching the DVD's a second time.

Redmond is a decent player. Not much else bar Kane, obviously.

Might have been a different story if Southgate had been allowed to use the likes of Sterling, Alex O-C, Barkley, etc.

Not sure having them if the full squad for a meaningless friendly and a qualifier in a group we have realistically already qualified from was more beneficial for anyone

I'm just confused as to how Geoff Thomas became the blueprint for English central midfielders.

Disabled campaigners having to storm Parliament to make their voice heard about government cuts....and who's Minister for Disablity?  Our very own Justin Tomlinson.
If they are that disabled, cant see much "storming "going on.

He didn't pick the best midfielders in the squad. He left out Will Hughes and James Ward-Prowse in favour of Chalobah, who I'm not sure completed a pass, and Forster-Caskey who isn't a regular at Brighton.

Probably the same people who get wound up by other fans calling us Swindle.

Unless it's a funny term, not often, actual team names never hurt anyone

This bloody fanziapp thing the club are using instead of just posting news on twitter/fb. If you've got something you want me to read/engage with/buy just post it where I'm looking, don't make me jump through hoops of Yet Another Social Media Platform. Like the world bloody needs another one anyway. Just post the damn news directly on twitter or don't bother.

Might account for why the fans think there's no news coming out of the club. It's just in Enigma code.

I don't use twitter or facebook, can the club just knock on my door?

tbf, if they want to just post it on the club website that's fine. But if they're going to post something on twitter/fb then post whatever it is not a "Exciting update about club shop/friendlies/abject lack of transfers, click over to fanzibloodythingy to read more". No, fuck off. Either tell me there and then or it's not that bloody important is it?

NB There's a reason I posted this in the "trivial" thread

The only reason I can think of that they're using the 'Fanziapp' is that they're using it to post to fb and twitter simultaneously, there doesn't appear to be any other benefits to using this new unknown app. It's incredibly naive if this is the case as it's junk, redirecting to a different site just to give a link to the official site? That's just going to piss everyone off (As it has.) additionally the Facebook posts will not be shown to anyone as Facebook actively shows posts containing just links to less people than regular text or photo posts.

It seems very odd that they're pushing this unknown app on us.
