We lost 2-1 but Ojo did score the winner, the save was Benteke goal, I think that Vigs clattered either Firmino or Can making a save as well

Ah thanks - proud I could remember some of that!!

I was at that game. IIRC correctly we lost 1-0 and Sheyi Ojo scored the only goal (think Vigs made a good save and it looked like the ball was going over the bar but looped in).

If that's correct its amazing what I can remember sometimes and how my memory is appalling at other times!
Close it was a 2-1 defeat! but I am the same, my short term memory is shocking yet I can remember loads of about obscure Swindon friendlies from the late 70s early 80s! I remember clear as day Chris Kamara hitting the clok on the ban with a penalty again Roda JC in a pre season game in 79/80 when I was 14!

I also remember us stuffing Bury 8-0 clear as day and beating Lincoln 6-0 the season before as if it was yesterday, the awful rain and the puddles in both goal mouths and the ball stopping in the line 3 times so the score, once for Bates and 2 for Kamara and would have been 9-0, with the City keeper Peter Grotier stranded each time, he was a fat shortish bearded keeper who looked like Noel Edmonds from the stands!

I struggle to remember much about any Town game in the last 3 or 4 season though at times!

And didn't we injure De Bruyne for most of the next season? Who was responsible for that tackle?

Marco Van Ginkel - never been the same player since.

Injured 10 minutes into the game and only 97 minutes into his Chelsea career, Pritchard was the Swindon tackler.

Don't think he played for Chelsea again, although I think he may still be on their books (t'interweb isn't clear)?

Happy at Patrick's Day!!

This month has been pretty stressful, I'm now in self isolation with a cough (and ofcourse terrified it's coronavirus) and only just realised that it was the 17th and so the national Day of Ireland.  Got me thinking about a town game played on Paddy's Day back in 2005 ish where we had a pitch invader who ran down to the away fans and mooned them, was fucking hilarious and the memory put a smile on my face for the first time in a few days.

I'm at work, in a largely empty office (I reckon about 10% of people who would normally be here are in) and we're all making preparations for working from home. We've just had an email sent round saying if we want new business cards we need to get our order in today. WTF? Who are we giving these business cards to? The dog? Cheesy
