'Fringe' player at FGR.
Bit of a digression, but I flip opinion between Winkleman (Claudia) being attractive and being a TV Noel Fielding.
Ergo you quite fancy Noel Fielding, intersting

Oh I love a bit of Winkleman, plus she seems to be genuinely really funny (makes Tess Daly look like a humourless robot on Strictly!)

Bake off and strictly talk within a page of each other, who was it who said this place is getting more and more like mumsnet? Winkleman does my head in, her whole shtick seems to be "I'm so quirky Hahaha". And nobody needs that much eyeliner. I see the resemblance to Fielding!

This rather reinforces it getting like mumsnet on here 😂

Concur. You could easily broaden the age range and programme scope with that statement.

True. I have equally little idea of the contents of Love Island, X Factor, Poldark and all the other "must see" TV of about the past decade. I'm basically a High Court Judge without the wig and law degree.

I remember back in the 90's, Gazza had a court case about image rights or similar, the judge had not heard of him..... but on being told his nickname was Gazza, said " ah like Puccini's opera La Gazza Ladra" Just within your decade limit, I'd gone to see a nice young lady, who was keen on some physicality, that she wanted to watch X Factor while we got down to it put me right off

It's massive hubris if someone else does, great ambition and clever way of selling the players a dream of that ambition if your own club does it.
Talking of ambition, this comes from the FGR forum. We should aiming for the championship, what’s the point of being in the football league if we don’t have any ambition. Might aswell go back to being a tinpot non league team otherwise.
The Stroud area can easily sustain a football club that gets 15,000+ supporters but we need to be in at least league one to make that happen. We have overtaken Cheltenham as Gloucestershires biggest club but we need to take one step further and leave them behind in our eco friendly shadow.
Where do you start with that? They finished 4 places lower than the "previous" best team in Gloucestershire (Cheltenham) and have never finished higher than them. Cheltenham had around 12% higher home attendances too. If Swindon, a town and borough, with a population of around 210,000 struggled to break the 15k average in the Premiership then what hope does Stroud with a town and borough population of around 35,000 have? Also their average attendance last season was 2,772 so to regularly support 15k crowds then they will have to have an up turn of 535% based on average crowds, or the equivalent of us getting 35,000 for home games. Ambition is one thing but lets have some realism please.
