Mawson has also been contacted by Nottm Forest and Rangers as well according to his mum on Twatter.

There is a quole thread on him Alfie on the Bees forum.

His mum also said he would never play for Brentford again apparently, maybe she is acting as his agent?

For fuck's sake gazzza
Was speaking to Gazza the other day, he has nothing to do with Vital Swindon for a couple of seasons now so its not from him.

According to FLIC Mawson's future should be decided by the end of the week.

Sounds like we are still the likely front-runners, though.

Wasn't sure if that meant we would definitely be going there, or that we'd consider it along with the other option if approved.

To be honest, its so close to pre-season it has to be the former, right?

Not bothered where we train to be honest, as long as it doesn't in any way disadvantage us. Its a shame its not in Swindon for the "all levels/ages under one roof" reason Power gave. But if its not possible then so be it.

CALNE Town Council have permitted Swindon Town to use the Beversbrook Sports Facility for up to three years.

The ratification from Calne Council does not settle where Town will be training next season. The club are set to make a decision on Beversbrook or another facility, also outside of the borough of Swindon, ahead of the start of their pre-season training next week.

Should Town opt for Beversbrook they have been given permission to use it until 2018.

The base would serve as a temporary stopgap whilst the club identify and construct a permanent training ground, with the Robins currently considering eight locations in the borough.

I appreciate that Swindon Town need a good location which will be beneficial to the first team but until the Cooper's future is clarified then it's not news.

#stfc were also considering Colerne military base but Total Sport understands Beversbrook now preferred option. Will cost £lots to fit out.

I'd like to think the price will go down after the initial 3 years and after we've spend some money on redeveloping their ground. But I doubt it.

Got to go somewhere though. It seems this is the best (least bad) option.
