Do all the town players (all 3 of them) follow stfc? How do people notice these things?

In some cases (depending on how your notifications are set up), people get notifications of when people they're following follow other people...

If that makes sense.

In this case, a QPR fan mentioned that a local paper had linked Byrne to QPR and had noticed that Byrne had started following them.

Tenuous but a rumour is a rumour.

Or it might be that he has an interest as 2 of his mates have just joined them....

As this is the rumours page, it's fair game.

Dunno, but I'll guess it's a rumour about us signing Gareth Barry as player manager  Wink

Twitter seems to like the rumour
Seems based on the fact he is mates etc with Standing and that he was at the home playoff leg

This seems similar to when many thought that Tim Sherwood would be our next manager.

Good work whoever started it.

If it's true, interesting.

Georgie Francomb to be signed by Town on July 1st.  Power loves the ex Tottenham youth and Norwich midfielder, who currently plies his trade at AFC Wimbledon.

Although The Dons have taken up the year option on the 23 year old but is attracting attention from clubs in League One. Francomb doesn't turn 24 until after the Summer window closes so it could well be settled by tribunal. Would be a shrewd move by Power, who has been tracking him since last October. Will he finally get his man.... Hmmm

Anyone else getting seriously fucked off that there's been no communication from the club whatsoever over this break so far? The fact that the promo guys went on holiday for a week or two is bollocks.

In most jobs, if someone goes on holiday, you work a way so that someone is ready to fill in while the primary employee is away. All we've seen is a cliche copy & paste article about the LC draw with Exeter City.

We've heard the following:

Andy Williams' goodbye
Exeter City draw
Fixtures released

Other than that it's been the same recycled promotional messages over and over. A weekly/bi-weekly "Summer news" blog post summarising what's going on would be more than nothing.

"We're sad to see XXX and XXX leave us, but for reasons that are blah blah blah, we had to see them go. We'll definitely use the money for <vague guide as to where some of the money will go>. We're already looking to replace these players with <vague pointers as to who we're looking at>."

Just that would be enough to show that A) they give a fuck about not keeping us in the dark and B) they think of us as part of the club.

Had bad day, and wanting to vent. Doesn't make any of this any less true Wink

I doubt it's all Tom Otrebski's fault.

This is the sort of thing you come to expect from Swindon Town.

I'm enjoying the summer.

Clarification on BO-O?

(not that I'm hugely bothered about that)

He's not the only person though. I didn't say it was all one person. I mean as a company (which is what it is), keeping in touch with the fanbase/customers should be key. They have the power of knowing that unlike customers of any other business, we can't just change what company we use Wink.

I gave my "rudderless ship" views the other day and unfortunately seemed to upset one or two posters.

surely even if they are waiting until July 1st to announce players some preseason friendlies have been set up by now (other than villa).

it's been a bit one way traffic so far, players exodus and cooper seemingly has a fair chance of leaving. ..buzz...
