Strange they only mentioned D’ath, wonder what happened to the other trialists.

Was interested in the Krastwv and Isgrove

You'd think we'd sign Isgrove if we can, although Wellens' said something about getting his fitness up to scratch.

Isgrove, Krastev, D'Ath, Hylton, Robinson.

Champions elect.

*We won't sign both Hylton and Robinson, but will sign a striker on loan from the Prem.

With just about 2 weeks to go, we should soon be in a position to make an assessment of prospects, for the coming campaign.

Just tempering things a bit. Both Hylton and Isgrove have had recent injuries and I just hope that if we do actually sign them then 10 games into the season it doesn’t all go tits up.

Both are way above L2 level - some Luton fans saying he should be staying and playing in the Championship.

Have to trust in the medical appraisals I suppose.

From the Pox forum.

How many times have we heard this from different sets of fans?

Quote
Ranger would be a good signing, we would get a talented player (albeit with a horrendous reputation) for a low wage.

His talent has never been in doubt, if Robbo can keep him on the straight and narrow he will be a good addition.

And if he repeats his past behaviour he can be fired out the door

Reading the adver article today I reckon Isgrove is still very much in the mix to be signed but will only happen if we offload McGlashan and Dave.  This could also mean we may miss out if we can't get shot of them 2

As everyone knows I have been suggesting going for Hylton for months and would love him to turn up and sign for us.

He is exactly the the type of striker we nee, hes a target man but still has a bit of pace, hes a fairly prolific scorer, he is dirty and strong, he can hold the ball up well and scores with both feet and his head.

He was the difference between us and Luton when we played them 2 years ago, he tore us a new one when he scored one goal but had a hand in all the other 4 goals we conceded.

Please make this happen Mr Wellens, he would be such a massive coup at this level.

176 goals in 474 games tells you he is a regular scorer but its his all round play that is more impressive than his goal tally.

Obviously not a prediction though?  Girl Giggle

Based on previous predictions they will be hedged in the direction of “we might just avoid relegation .....”

Way too soon to predict that, far too many imponderables Smiley

Midfielder. Sits in front of the back3/4. Wellens says if he can agree a deal he’ll sign, if not, no big deal as Conroy can play that role.

We won't have to rely on that, I am certain that Carroll will return to Town on loan.
