Exactly - we can't be 95% on one and 100% on another (just waiting for the club to release the player/backfill) if we haven't got room in the budget.

Both JMcG and TD were told a while ago they're not going to feature.... so doubtless their agents will have been trying to do something.  There are plenty in the out of contract pool.... the sort you mention above, so clubs will tend to look here first.
