An aside - three games in a row we've had 20 shots or more. Can't imagine that's happened often before.

Can only imagine Mad Gav got binned from the coaching team for being too conservative!

Must have had a better conversation rate though Wink

I think Austin will come good. He's been a bit off it and missed some sitters but been unlucky as well. His general play has been good but he does need to concentrate more on goalscoring and dropping deep less.

Flynn:
- We have had just over 1000 passes and 20 shots again

Possession with a purpose. Something Lindsey and Morris claimed to understand but showed absolutely no understanding of in practice.

Two games in and could make at least semi valid arguments we could be have won/draw/lost either of them and be on anything between 0-6 points!

Yeah it's aittle erratic. Still big concerns at the back but delighted with 4 points so far.

Yeah lovely little lay off for FBTs strike and a good save rebounded for Young.

He's having a positive influence minus the 3 sitters in two games.

I really don’t know what Cain offers. I think he is like a lightweight league 2 Anton Rodgers.

Flynn:
- Made hard work of it
- Started slowly.
- Moved ball to slow and played into their trap
- Started to get on top after 30 mins
- If more clinical we would have won Saturday and today comfortably
- Sending off made it easier
- They nearly caught us on the break as we were sloppy
- We have had just over 1000 passes and 20 shots again
- The finishing touch and end product has been wasteful
- We were shooting when bodies in the way or crossing when noone in the box
- There is work to do
- Delighted at his first win at STFC. Fans were awesome, as could see effort and determination
- Austin frustrated. Joked with Austin we had 21 shots and 11 off target. Flynn said that the 11 were Austins
- FBT has scored one or two of those. Unbelievable left foot
- Khan has bone bruising. Will be back for the weekend
- Genesini: Ward had back spasm. Thought Genesini would be better against their set up
- RHM may be back for Saturday
- Light on numbers tonight. Young bench
- They were tired becasue we nearly turned it into a basketball game again
- Tried to stop UGM from cutting inside and going forward at the end

Always re-assuring when you agree with everything the manger says. Gives me hope he will have us heading in the right direction.

Good win but loads to work on still - natural for new players and new ideas.

Three points on the board most importantly.

Thought Young was fantastic until he faded second half. Pace, held the ball up, showed trickery and movement, got in behind their defence a few times first half but little to aim for.

Mahoney brilliant in goal. Defenders all very good. UGW wayward with too many passes, maybe trying too hard tonight.

Hutton the better of the two wing backs with some lovely crosses. Genesini raw but did a few good things going forward.

Centre mids invisible first half, no control of the game, improved second, Kemp poor despite his goal.

Austin more good than bad for me. At one point he chased back into his own half in the left back position when it was 1-1 against 10 men. Great work ethic but doesn't need to be there. Had a hand in both goals and occupies defenders.

Overall scrappy but stuck to it and benefitted from a ref on our side tonight has to be said.

On to Wrexham where no result would surprise me - i have my doubts currently but am encouraged for the future under Flynn. Think we could be more than decent in a month or two. Hopefully Rush is back for the weekend to add a bit more to our attack, even if he starts off the bench.

He also looked dead on his feet in the last few minutes, which is a worry given he was a sub.  Didn't he also look unfit last season, cramping maybe?

Lindsey seems to be doing the business with Crawley this season*

I’d convinced myself earlier that Matty Taylor was going to come on and score the winner. How wrong was I, he was fucking terrible.

Credit where credits due to Brewitt. It’s great he has FBT and Dokes either side of him. ( by either side I mean they’re both up the other end of the pitch scoring goals)
