Gav being still involved is total proof that this is not a serious appointment.

What manager of any substance would want his predecessor involved in the coaching staff? Just invites potential undermining, not to mention his awful record in the job.

Its all jobs for the boys and that is why Gav won't be sacked. A mate of the Kielys appointed so now we just have one more on the take in addition to Gav who will be given another pointless role.

I'm happy they've confirmed the competitive budget, that's put my mind at ease because we've never been told that before so must be different this season...

I see they interviewed 9 candidates for the managerial role. Doesn't sound particularly thorough given we've been without a head coach/manager for over 1/3 of a year.

Interviewed 9 candidates and ended up on someone who was in the same world cup squad as one of our owners dad.

I wonder if these interviews were done at a BBQ while pissed. Who else got an interview? Chris Kielys mum?

So there we have it. Gunning remains on the staff but a new assistant on the way.

Not even a babybel? or a reliable old stinky bit of cheddar?

Disgusted.

Agreed. Perhaps the remainder of Bathfords intel will be correct and the club expect the imminent signings to help sway people in the extended early bird window.

Just to clarify the question regarding Clems whereabouts on the last game. He was in the UK for a total of 10 days. He was not in the UK at the last game.

He was sat in the Arkells, at the front right of the director's box, on the aisle.

‘Gavin Gunning a big part of the club moving forward’

Who else is going to step in to take charge when Kennedy inevitably gets the boot after a squad built with a pathetic budget isn't challenging for promotion?

I think the biggest problem Kennedy will have is the supporters.  He is clearly guilty by association.

Regarding his press conference, he gave standard answers to standard questions. We would have got similar answers regardless of the league we are in or who the owner is.

Let’s give him a chance, we don’t know what was said / changed after the first ten games of last season. We don’t know what the relationship was with GG and CA.

We don’t know what was going on with GG and his team selections. The only time I know that Clem got involved was the last game as I have said. No-one as far as I’m aware has no proof to the contrary.

We now have a seasoned Manager with contacts and able to ask questions before the last day of the transfer window. At present, I’m relatively relaxed about the appointment.

Give him a chance.
