It will be interesting to see how we handle Wallsalls direct approach next week after struggling against them on Boxing Day.

Yes we were playing against weakened opposition but for comparison, what do you do think the score would’ve been playing Lindseyball?

Gunning:
- Alot of work went in during the week
- Played to a good structure. Then changed formation when they went down to 10
- Quick tempo and moved the ball fast
- Happy with the result
- Some fantastic players here. Both young and experience
- Youth substitutions today. Fantastic
- When you have Austin in the team, you need to go down the sides, through the middle and make the transitions fast
- Austin was good. Not world class. But above level of L2
- RHM: Made decision as seen his potential and saw their weakness. Wanted to play with pace down the side
- Ruthless edge: Dont know where it came from. Boys took their chances well
- Can only be positive about the performance. But could have taken more chances. Could have been 8.
- Dressing room: When manager leaves, some out of favour take their chances. Its not the manager than employs them it is the club
- Khan: Unbelieveable use of the ball. Need to make sure he doesnt get sucked to the ball.
- If Khan was playing as a forward he wouldnt get many goals!
- More happy with the clean sheet
- Gunning says he's always relaxed. Need to watch the shape and formation. Its like a chess match. Can we transition quickly before they get into shape.
- Darcy, Shady and Lavi looked as if they had something to prove
- Kanu looked a handful
- No news on Adeloye, Reed and Roberts. They just weren't in the squad
- Gladwin injured. Hopefully come back into training in the next week or so
- Tried to get right fundamentals and formation into the game.
- If the next gaffer comes in on Monday he'll just fall back into the slot
- Not been told anything about timeline for next manager.

Gladwin, Reed, Adeloye and Roberts all absent without known injuries right? Would assume the latter two would be loan moves.

So if we take Gav at face value re Gladwin then I’m thinking:

Injured, sold, loan out, loan out in that order?

Well that was unexpected and everything the first half of the season wasn’t. Amazing what fast paced direct football running at the opposition does. Players were playing off the leash and playing their natural game.

If I was a Crawley fan I’d be bricking it, about as clear example of a manager being the problem as you can get. Any lingering doubts anyone had about Lindsey’s culpability firmly put to bed.

Wellll, their next two games are Sutton Away, nil points, then home to today’s visitors in a six pointer relegation warm up match. Crawley currently 21st on P:24 W:5 D:7 L:12 GD: -13 PTS:22 Grimsby on the other hand who sit rather comfortably in 16th Showing stats of P:24 W:8 D:6 L:10 GD: -6 PTS:30, there are four clear spaces between the two clubs, crucially they are only one clear space and three points ahead of Hartlepool whom they have a game in hand over and two over Rochdale. Squeezy bum time for Gatwick Rovers.

Had a chat with Boy About Town re the ref. Apparently he was being sick while unconscious (correct me if I’m wrong bud). That was horrific, when he went down I felt it was a ‘Di Canio pushing the ref’ type moment but it quickly became apparent it was bad. Hope he is ok

As you say let's hope he's released from hospital without anything seriously wrong. Respect to all fans for clapping him off on the stretcher.

fuck yeah. what a result. Austin scores. We could have had 8 or 9.

my mouth curved upwards on the way out. Anyone know what that's about

And I know we can't play like that every game but actually going for it was so much more enjoyable

Roberts will be on loan i would think, he’s got another season under contract and they want to see him develop. National League is my guess if he goes on loan

Well that was a lot better. Just shows you what we've been missing under Lyndsey who was the wrong appointment.
We could have and should been in the top 3 with the right appointment during the summer.

Let's hope we make the right appointment now as 3rd place is up for grabs.

Could have been 8 or 9 today.
