Why would it? I don't know the story there.
If I HAD to choose, then France. Cannot stand Argentina.

Me too, not bothered about this world cup even when England were still in it TBH.

I think Messi winning the World Cup and him not, would eat Ronaldo alive.

I'll leave that for someone else. The reason why is that I get fed up with people on here shouting you down if you have a contrary point of view. You can't debate anything without getting a 'snotty' response.

My opinion of the WC final is that I don't care who wins it now. I was interested while England were in it, but was conflicted by the corruption of FIFA and the Qataris and whether I should have supported it at all! The World Cup should never have been there in the first place and I found it difficult to decide whether I should watch it or not.

From 1978 onwards I have watched 'most' matches and I attended several in US94 - Including being stood behind the goal where Saudi Arabia scored the goal of the tournament against Belgium:

But, I tend to lose interest in the latter parts of the tournament, as the pressure seems to often ruin the attacking flow of some teams. The final of US94 for example is one of the most boring games I have seen.

I fell asleep during Morocco vs France. I watched a little bit of Croatia vs Argentina on a bus. But I won't be watching the final. Possibly, because last week I watched a very boring Wimbledon vs Town followed by a disappointing England vs France game.

So, I state again (without starting a thread) that I am more interested(in watching) Barrow vs Swindon (which I think will put me off watching any more footie over the weekend) that watching two sides that I don't give a toss about, where the focus will be on a wankfest over Messi or MBappe.

That goal by Saeed Al Owairan is probably my favourite world Cup goal of all time.

either Messi cries, or mbappe does. Got to take the positives
My fave from the BBC comments:

Best moment was Messi and Mbappe colliding and having to both go off with concussion, meaning we could watch the final in peace without commentators all parroting each other about how it was all about those two.

advantage Argies.

Don't know if the virus is to blame, but France haven't turned up yet.

Better team winning, albeit from a soft penalty

Edit: Excellent second goal though

the French didn't or couldn't turn up at all. Dembele and Giroud subbed before half time.

Brilliant counter for the second.

Not a great game for the
