I've a feeling that was Tabor, can't remember where I saw it...
Moonraker confirmed Tabor broke Holloway’s shuttle run record which has been going for 20-30 years.

Cracking load of waffle from Ollie!
Sounds like McGregor is still injured but on the way back. What on earth was his injury?
Same as Minturns groin i think

If you're going to listen to it, it's worth it but make yourself comfortable...it's a looooong one.... it's 56 minutes long and Ollie is in fine form...

Well that's him as good as signed then. Maybe we could get the TEF to do 'the run' over the summer. Would be faintly amusing if nothing else...

I’m up for it… Anyone got a definitive answer as to what the ‘the run’ actually is?

A rough idea
Ian Holloway, the Swindon Town manager, is known for using a specific running test to assess players' fitness. This test, often referred to as the "full pyramid" or "Ian Holloway's special run," involves running specific distances back and forth. It is designed to evaluate not only a player's physical fitness but also their motivation and drive. While the exact distances and times may vary, the goal is to complete the full run in a challenging time frame, demonstrating both speed and stamina. Here's a breakdown of the test: The Run: Players run a series of distances, typically starting with shorter sprints (e.g., 20 yards and back) and progressively increasing the distance (e.g., 40 yards and back, 60 yards and back). The Goal: The objective is to complete the entire sequence of runs within a specific time limit, which can vary depending on the club and the manager's requirements. For example, Aston Villa reportedly requires players to complete the run in under 3 minutes and 30 seconds according to Catapult One Team. Beyond Fitness: Beyond the physical aspect, the test also provides insight into a player's mental fortitude, their ability to push themselves, and their overall motivation and drive. Potential for Intensity: Holloway's drills are known for their intensity, and players at Swindon Town may experience "Terror Tuesdays" as he integrates such tests into their training regimen.

I think Joe Acklam of the adver did the run and wrote an article on it but it may be behind a paywall. I thought it was shuttle runs there and back starting with 20m and then increasing each run by 20m until you get to 100m and then it goes down by 20m per shuttle so 80,60,40,20.

Really it’s interval training. I used to do it when I trained greyhounds.

I appreciate I just own a retired greyhound rather than training them but how the hell do you get them to turn round and go back again!
