Always surprises me the amount of players fans would keep when we’ve had yet another mediocre season.
Of the players out of contract, Ofoborh and Ripley are the only 2 I’d be desperate to keep. Drinan would be handy to have around and Ameen for the potential. Other than that, not fussed if any of them go, including all the loans.

Pretty much the same quaggy.
I guess people think it's largely a promotion capable side under Ollie.
I think we are short of that and need to free wages to bring in something extra.
My biggest worry is largely if you stop Smith then we are in trouble. Ok Saturday that wasn't true but in general.

Admittedly I've probably not watched as much as others but I've seen absolutely nothing in Cox to suggest he's anything other than a non-league footballer.

Bit of discussion about this in the MotM Thread so next season...
Under contract: (13) Redman Evans
Tunmise Sobowale Billy Kirkman Joel McGregor Sonny Hart Will Wright Ryan Delaney Harrison Minturn
Ollie Clarke Gavin Kilkenny Jaxon Brown Danny Butterworth
Harry Smith
Pretty much certain to leave: (6) Johnson, Khan, Uwakwe, Dworzak, Hall, Kanu
Up for debate (18) Bycroft, Cain, Glatzel, Drinan, Cox, Ripley, McGurk, Ofoborh, Mitchell, Ameen and the other 2nd year scholars (Hutt, Chard, McCormick, Stewart, Obodo, Alston, Gonzalez-Birchall, Britchford-Stanley)
Loans expiring (4) Freckleton, Cotterill, Nicholls, Westley
It's not bad, is it? Clearly need a few, but there's a spine there.
Tshmanga?

Yes but it's not that we've been mediocre throughout the season, the first part under Kennedy was without doubt relegation form but once Holloway started to get to grips with the squad, those same players have been showing promotion form and that is how they should be judged. Only tonight I saw a post on Twitter pointing out that in 2025, we are top scorers in L2 with 33 goals...I'm not saying we don't need to strengthen, of course we do...but why would you want to break that squad up? It would be madness...

Prior to Billy Kirkman's recall, I have to admit I'd forgotten he existed and he's obviously looked excellent. So on that basis, I'm really curious to see what Dylan Mitchell can do. I remember thinking that in a couple of brief early season sub appearances he looked like he might be quite useful...

Kirkman stood out for me at the Melksham pre season friendly - well, as much as any player could in those sort of games.
Looks a great find. Wonder who clocked him.

Plus - I think a bit of continuity is massively underrated in football terms. Imagine keeping the large majority of your squad & being able to hit the ground running rather than needing all of August to ‘find your feet’ but then at the end of August there is more people available for loan so you get a couple in to start to September then you need to bed them into the team that you’ve only just / you’re still bedding in

I’d want to keep
Ofoborh Ripley Drinan Glatzel Ameen Bycroft
….in that order.
I’d love to see McGurk come good but don’t feel like that’s going to happen. Probably time to move on from McGurk. Also don’t think we really need to keep Cain.
Not fussed either way on Cox.
As for the loans. I’d take Westley on a free if he was available. Nichols is probably a done deal anyway. Freckleton might be worth a deal if he’s a free agent as a left back.
I’d have Tshimanga back if they introduce rolling subs so we can just put him on for penalties.
