I see he also said the youth team is not set up correctly for progression aswell.
Remember Clem said he saved youth team and Gav is doing a sterling job as first team pathway manager.

You don’t get the feeling Ollie is a yes man. Clem needs to listen to him, use his experience of working at different clubs and give him what he wants to move the club forward or run the risk of him saying fuck it and he moves on leaving us back to in the mire.

The last few pressers Holloway has hinted (I think at least) that he's waiting for some behind the scenes promises including possibly having a reserve side? I think he realises the strength of his negotiating position now, he's bailed Clem out of the shit big time but if he walks away and says the club isn't ambitious enough then it's straight back in the shit with BBQ sauce.
He'll never have a better hand than he does before he signs a new deal.

His talk about signing a new contract definitely sounds less definitive over the past couple of weeks. Morfuni and co are already toast for me, but for many this would be the final nail in the coffin. Holloway know what he's talking about and realistically if he stays I can see us up near the top next season, losing all of that momentum would show how pathetic, incompetent and uncaring this bunch of crooks are. |

I imagine it’s our board trying to be a bit cheap.
Holloway has pretty much indicated he wants to stay however he has also very clearly stated location played a big part in him coming here + his love for football. He’s played his hand.
From a stingy board POV you can try & lowball Holloway because, well where else is he going to go? If he true to his word & only wants local jobs then it’s pretty much limited to us or Bristol Rovers. I can’t see Holloway for example resigning from us to go take the Huddersfield job. Board will probably know that & offer Holloway terms that reflects the fact he’s unlikely to ditch us for another job.
