As very much NOT In the Know and a supporter of both SO69 and a member of the Trust, is anyone able to explain to me  - and presumably other Townend posters and lurkers - what this apparent clashing between the 2 entities is about?

I had understood that they were distinct entities with distinct objectives.

Absolute no "clash" whatsoever.

We're very grateful for the support the Trust have given us so far and are broadly aligned on our single issue. We have no purpose beyond ending Clem Morfuni's ownership of STFC; The trust has huge purpose to their members and the STFC community and that purpose has existed and will continue to exist in a Morfuni-free STFC.

This means we can be very binary in our approach, and the trust need to be more nuanced. We respect that totally, while as individuals, may disagree with the intricacies of some of those interactions.

If the SO69 entity has a single purpose, it should only have an opinion on that one subject. How the Trust, OSC or any other fan organisation or individuals fans behave towards that single purpose, it shouldn’t be of concern to the SO69 if it’s to maintain its good start.

I would suggest if you want to maintain a respectful visibility between Trust and SO69, if you have any pointed questions, discuss them directly and offline. It’s critical that where SO69 has allies, there shouldn’t be any air between what is visible.

The SO69 entity can not turn into another STFC Questions account under a different name… That won’t help the cause to unite fans in the slightest!

IMO of course. Pinch of salt SO69 guys, take or leave the feedback. It’s a stage you guys have built so use it how you see fit until no one is following anymore.

Thanks for the replies to my question above about potential differences between SO69 and the Trust.  I understand the differences but, as a supporter of the first and a member of the 2nd, I am re-assured that there is no "clash" as such.  The Single Issue SO69 is clear and it is for Trust members supporting that Single Issue to feed their view into the Trust so that it may be properly represented.

I might have imagined it but I thought the club said that the fan zone would be open in November? I seemed to think that by “open” they were talking about an area with food and drink outlets as well as entertainment. Instead we have a statue with a crumbling base in a patch of muddy gravel with a fence around it. Has the club given up on the fan zone idea?

This came up with someone yesterday. I realised then I have no idea what, if anything, the next stage was.
