the bender by McKirdy in the 81st minute was just sick!

He really is playing at full confidence at the moment.

I think the muff commentary may be right,  he could be a feast or famine type player.

let's hope we are festivally plump come end December

Or it could be like a previous manager said ‘He needs to be loved’.

I said it when he first came here, he reminds me of Jimmy Bullard.

I think this is more likely his personality.

Ward was on t'radio pre game talking about McKirdy, he was asked "what is it like to have McKirdy around the dressing room" to which Ward answered "it doesnt matter what personality he has off the pitch, its about what he does on the pitch that matters". Which sounded a bit like "I wont answer that question".

What we (and that includes the fans) have to learn from is Carlisle...

As we don't live in that part of the world please explain your comment for those of us who don't know the story Smiley

I know he wasnt settled at Carlisle but no idea why or what else went on.

I did find this.

And this from a Carlisle fan on their forum after they knew he’d signed for us

‘We all know that Harry is going to play at a higher level eventually and be worth a bit of money, he has the potential anyhow.

I only wish we had a manager like Simmo in at the time when he was with us, he would more likely have listened to him.

The right manager in Mckirdy's ear and he will fly.’

I know he wasnt settled at Carlisle but no idea why or what else went on.

Apol's thought it had been discussed on here before.

Basically he is a peculiar character that takes things very personally (as I think is common knowledge), at Carlisle the whole thing was exacerbated by the fans getting on his back after a couple of bad games which sped it all falling to bits.

This doesn't cover the fan bit (think that was in the local rag in north Cumbria), but does give an insight into the wider issues at Carlisle. https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/port-vales-rivals-defend-decision-4149574

the ones we met in the pub pre match basically said

"bags of talent, shame he's a total cunt who only cares if Chelsea won.. even straight after playing in a loss".
---
personally think he's only 24 now, a good age to start growing up a bit at "work" if it's needed.

he's been bloody brilliant last 3 games. Long may it continue
