It's a thin strip on land on the Magic Roundabout, it's hardly a prime development opportunity. Imagine the parking

Its not gonna happen, but FWIW in many cases Councils are now looking for zero parking in city centre sustainable locations.
The company that did Brentford’s stadium got sacked off and the cynic inside me imagines their proposals and pricing were too realistic for the club and not pure pie in the sky.
Who knows in 20+ years in the development business I've been kicked off (and seen others kicked off jobs) for a plethora of reasons, so at this stage any suggestion of it being cost based is pure speculation. FWIW I had some involvement on the Brentford scheme (working for an objector) and there was all manner of strange stuff going on with that project (not, I hasten to add, to do with the architects).
I don’t think it’s an issue. I also in development. It’s not a full ground redevelopment. The experience the architects have in hospitality is probably more relevant in terms of creating something that will turn a profit. Often these days you have different architects for planning and full construction drawings.
Totally this, its at best a pretty standard fit out job of na existing space with some external turd polishing, as I've noted before I would suspect they have a plethora of consultants already working behind the scenes on the hospitality offer etc and what the architects have designed is driven by that!
Fans generally don’t like owners whoever they are. Well then, they need to do something about that disconnect don’t they?
This is possibly the biggest problem, that disconnect is pretty much terminal for a pretty large proportion of the fan base (which is understandable albeit the way that rumours seem to be rapidly accepted as fact probably helps no one), its fractured and fucked an isn't going to change.
For the houses that are being proposed, is that on the area of land that is currently statue park? I'd have thought that's unrealistic unless you are putting in houses for noddy and his mates?
To agree with Batch I'm pretty sure this isn't what you mean, but the way the houses thing is gathering pace is just a good illustration of the manner in which following the club seems to have become more like a game of Chinese whispers these days.
