Clubs have to file it with the EFL, probably leaked by another club.

Indeed, managers and chairment often talk between each other, when they are honest and open.

Where on earth did they get that from. The playing budget isn't derivable from the accounts, and the accounts aren't out until next season anyway.
Must have a "sauce" (sic)
Sam mentioned in his column on the moonraker that the proposed £150k for the extra work on the pitch would equate to around 7% of the playing budget, which would equate to a budget between 2.1 & 2.2 million. Either the figure is accurate, or Sam us getting his figures from the same place

Interesting... Is that definitely playing budget, or playing budget including management and first team coaches, and, and..? If we are comparing apples with apples its not too bad I guess

I’m pretty sure he thought it was the playing budget, it was the article where Holloway was asked if he would be happy if that amount came off the playing budget to sort the pitch

Playing budget of £2.2M So what's the other £6M of costs? Admin. Haven’t you seen the price of staples, drawing pins, blu tack and sellotape recently? Don’t start on A4 copier paper.

What the hell are they going to spend £150k on, wasn’t a big song and dance (with a shed load of photos) made about sorting the drainage a couple of years back and every year we get pictures of it being seeded relaid etc, so what’s gone wrong with it this year, is it 'cos the groundsman changed (or did I imagine that)? Give it a scarify, couple of bags of weed and feed and jobs a good 'un!

I am sure someone on here suggested it wasn't well looked after, which was around the time of the switch in who looked after it. I think the club tried to sell the work that had been done straight after (something about the lines not being straight for a friendly comes to mind).

Apparently they stitch some synthetic fibres into the pitch to strengthen it. A lot of the championship & premier league clubs do it. Don’t know if you need to do it every season or if it’s a one off cost

I think we've done it in the past and assume therefore its annual. You normally scrape the topsoil back and regrow every season anyway.
