Liam McCartan, the analyst that seems to be spoken highly of, is leaving.

Part of larger behind the scenes changes perhaps?

Sounds like he just got offered a good opportunity elsewhere from his post on Twitter

He's very deliberately highlighted what he's moving to. In my eyes, there's no sign of scandal or any kind of reshuffle, just somebody moving on to the next stage in their career. The reality is that as a club in L2, it's hard to keep hold of decent staff without getting promoted.

Yeah absolutely.

Just amusing as 5 months ago, we would have probably said 'who the fuck is this guy and why is he our only coach'. So one minute he isnt fit for this role, the next he has moved on and we have lost a good member of staff. Who the hell knows.

Someone said on here before what we pay for that job is well under market value so it has a high turnover as people generally come here to build their experience and then move on.

We did try and fill some roles with an ethically, maybe even legally, dodgy approach at internships for a while.  The last time I saw one of those advertised it did appear that we had reverted to the expected format for those at least.

It wouldn't be unlikely that we scrimp in such areas - the evidence doesn't support investment in any facet - Hall as CEO, shooting nets that were never installed (in the AB minutes for months), local firm had to provide scaffolding so we could record training to do any analysis, and I am sure someone mentioned our game day recording was also a bit DIY vs what other teams had set-up when visiting us.

Overall, we probably do under pay, but, losing people to higher up teams is just as likely in any role.  Right now, we have people reminding other fans that a move to Stevenage is an upward move for a player, so there won't be many clubs that an Analyst doesn't see as an upwards move either.

“I spoke with Andrew Fitton yesterday, we sat down with him for a couple of hours, which was very helpful to get an insight into what challenges he had."

That's about as interesting as it gets tbh. Otherwise very little of note there, apart from Anthony Hall being allowed to speak!

Fan engagement Manager, wasn't she already here, doing that role?  It seems they believe the issue is that they haven't managed to get the message across as well as they could, not that many fans believe they are shoddy owners/CEO's.

Sounds a bit more promising than his usual aggressive-defensive approach, good he acknowledges we need more football experience on board, whether we'll actually get that is a different story.  Look forward to what the supporters at the meeting have to say.

I also presume the Adver have cut this into a series of articles, to keep the clicks going for a week or so, but if the intro was the best they could get, it isn't looking promising.  I expect a few - we listened to the fans, learned form last season and employed..............A Manager!!!!!!!!!!!!  Well done gang, wellllll done.

He has been around the club for 9 years+.  If he hasn't managed to source information from people with footballing knowledge in a pro-active sense in that time, I very much doubt he is open to learning and bringing them onboard in any meaningful fashion.  His appointment, and continued employment, of Hall says it all.
