Members of the Trust board were on the Official Supporters Club broadcast earlier today. They made a point of declaring their neutrality. They need a minimum of half of all the eligible voters to cast their vote, with 75% voting in favour for a "Yes" vote to pass. The participants explained that they do not want to influence the vote:

I'm not sure I agree with the trust board declaring their neutrality. The trust is about protecting the interests of the fans of the club, as the board should they not be duty bound to state one way or another how the fans interests are best protected?

Good point, by definition they can't and shouldn't be neutral.

Yeah, must say I’m disappointed that they are staying neutral. Expected them to come out and say what they recommend.

Are they trying not to back themselves into a "being unreasonable" corner with a free and unbiased vote?
I'd hope and think that if they had received extra assurances, proof of funds, etc then they'd share it.

I still think the plans might get the OK. There are still so many people (despite all that has gone on) who are still taken in by Clementes' jackanory. Add to those who believe the income will actually be spent on the playing staff and it could be a dangerous mix

That's democracy. If it goes through I bloody hope they are right. Sincerely.

I see James Phipps has now wrote an open letter and said he will be voting yes.
They’re wheeling them all out.

I think the Supporters Trust staying neutral on an investment and redevelopment of a stand speaks volumes.
The only conclusion you can draw from them being neutral is that they have concerns?

At least his piece set the record straight on the nonsense Mattick came out with.
Your vote is your own is the message I took. But yes, they are wheeling them out.
But nothing has materially changed

I suspect they are only stating neutral as their own board cant decide either way, and rather than risk making a decision they can't all get behind (and then have board members sounding off as in the past) that they have chosen to say nothing. Feels kinda weak to me.
