Thanks Bennett.

Not very convincing answers.
No real meat on the bones and very wishy washy.
Its as if they have something to hide.
How can they not give an estimate for the match day box pricing?

It’s a no for me.  That response just about sums up this regime

Did anyone actually expect anything better?

The thing is a lot will still vote yes.

The good thing is that it’s only going to take around 325 people to vote No (at the most) to prevent it happening. ( That’s assuming everyone votes).

It's a bit like people who vote Reform isn't it? Despite all the facts presented to them, they still vote for the fiction. In this case it's the equivalent of voting strongly in favour of AFH's new abacus, over the future security and safety of our somewhat most operable stand.

It is a bit like saying "if you vote no, it will be your fault that we languish in the basement division" meanwhile ignoring our league finishes under Clemente thus far

It is a bit like saying "if you vote no, it will be your fault that we languish in the basement division" meanwhile ignoring our league finishes under Clemente thus far

…but also with an estimated 6 year return on investment the additional facilities aren’t going to benefit the playing budget in any way, shape or form for at least 6 years.

Then when it is finally making pure profit - will it benefit the playing budget? or will Clem (and whoever) be putting that profit in their back pocket in order to reduce the debt the club owes them?

…even if we run with the eventual profit being used for the good of the club. The owners want to redevelop more of the stadium right? So that would be a good way to fund a portion of that?

Unless Clem is going to write off his debt (he won’t because he can’t afford to) then aren’t we (they?) just turning more money that comes from sources unknown into debt owed to them. It’s not going to benefit the actual football club.

The new facilities might make the football club more attractive to buyers (who let’s be honest are snapping up the likes of Carlisle & Yeovil already) but the increased debt will probably negate that.

So, ultimately what’s the point? What’s the actual motivation?

For arguments sake - if there was a business plan in place that suggest the 6 year ROI was based on 1/3rd of the income from the facilities going towards debt whilst another 1/3rd went towards the play budget & the final 1/3rd went into a pot for future redevelopment projects - I’d get it.

It’s slow progress but everyone gets a slice of the pie.

From a very brief glimpse on Facebook a lot of the pro redevelopment people are for it because they think it will bring in more money which automatically equals more playing budget from day one.

This is what gets me in the question and answer below. The club know this is the main concern for most fans so why do they never ever come out and distance themselves from it

13. Can we get written legal confirmation of all those involved in this first project please. Written guarantees that work/contracts won’t find their way to a certain Zavier Austin, Adam Hart etc, and that they won’t be involved in financing the project or creaming money out of the project and will have no involvement at all.

Swindon Town Football Club will adhere to a strict procurement and tender process, engaging bona fide contractors and consultants to deliver the project. The joint venture (JV) will act as the client team, overseeing procurement and construction from start to finish.

Are you serious? Come on, I think you already know the answers to your post, as we all do.

It sounds ok, until I saw Port Vale have sold over 6000. Port fucking vale. 2 years ago they could barely muster 5,000 at home including walk ups.

Just being left behind by everybody because of these lot in charge. If we had some proper owners we'd get huge crowds. As evidenced in Clems first season.

It just pisses me off to be honest.
