Clem: The club needs football people

Fuck me this bloke is beyond help.

Apparently an Aussie. I’m just repeating what someone is saying on X and there was a mention that someone did see Hall, Hart and a fella with longer hair together the other day.

nobody from Axis that is an obvious choice based on names.  The closest connection would seem to be Jason Wagg, who is connected to Danny Lee on LinkedIn, which would likely mean he has been engaged with the club over the years.

Unfortunately when I went to the lower league, I didn't have a scouting network that covered that. None of my mates who have worked for me for years knew anything about that level so I was going to have to adapt and take a while.

Holloway's own review of his time at Grimsby. He's now going to lead our most crucial transfer window arguably ever. God I hope we get lucky.

An excellent article by Sam but my god what a depressing read. Clem essentially doubling down on his unwillingness to sell.

I really fear this isn’t going to end well

Still for the life of me can’t work out what he’s getting out of this. On the verge of taking a team out of the football league for the first time, losing money each year, and despised by nearly everyone. And he always responds by just saying how much he loves football.

Well if you love football so much do us all a favour and let someone take over who knows how to run a club

There are unconvincing 'good' answers and there are unproven 'bad' answers. I think the thing SO69 are getting right is saying it doesn't matter: whatever his motivation, he's doing such a bad job that he needs to go.
