Am I being thick or does that email claim that the Trust being negative of the owner would stop any potential new owners coming in?
The previous board becoming best mates with Morfuni was obviously a terrible thing overall but at least they had the bollocks at the time to organise a fan boycott of the club, encouraging us to not renew season tickets etc. Now, yes, the grass not being greener is very apt when we look at how far we've fallen under the Australian con man but we're well on our way to falling out of the league as is. How much worse can it really get under the current ownership?
I think you are referring to "well supported" which means has lots of members rather than being supportive of the club.

They pay a rent of £100,000 pa and this money is reinvested into improvements (NOT! Financing the Club's repair liabilities) such expenditure needing our approval.
Why 'improvements' and not 'repairs' and would anyone from the Trust like to tell us what those improvements are?

Did you ask the same questions?
I didn’t ask anything about ground ownership or development so half of the email felt rather pointless and a copy and paste job

Thanks for sharing. So no ground improvements have been made as yet based on that. I would love to see a breakdown on what the club has spent its JV rent on so far. As looking around the place I'm not seeing anything of note even on the repairs side of things

I have emailed the trust back with the following message
First of all thank you for a response. However, I am disappointed by the response and would like to put forward why:
First of all, this appears to be a cut and paste email. You have referred to the Joint Venture even though my email did not discuss any concerns about the Joint Venture. Whilst I appreciate that the JV is an important part of the work that you do, my main concerns are with the ownership on football-related matters which has led to us to have the worst Swindon side in recent history (and getting worse).
I have issue with your comment "no real direct role to play here, we have to be agnostic." As a supporters trust you were very active and vocal to have Lee Power removed (and Morfuni in), so to suggest as a body the Trust is agnostic would suggest a change of tact from previous Trust activity. If you feel that with recent Trust board changes that is a more suitable purpose of the Trust, I would advise making this aware to all supporters as this is not the direction many would want a supporters trust to take.
I strongly believe that you are supporting the current regime too strongly which will lead to further deterioration of the club and a really strong possibility of non-league.

I have had the same cut and paste response which is very disappointing. My response is below
Thanks for your email but it doesn’t address any of my points and concerns.
I do not see what the JV has to do with the issues I have raised- it does seem from your response that you are too close to the club ownership which is very disappointing as you are not representative of your members.
The fanbase are aware of the direction we are heading and under this ownership it’s non-league.

Astounded by the 2021 power boycott letter from the Trust. I must have seen the headline (and acted) but missed the wording at the time. Autoreplace Power with Clem and let's get our club back

Completely reasonable replies. The trust as forgotten who they are and why they exist.
