what do i realistically think the trust can do:

keep doing surveys and say to the club this is what the fans think- "we are trying to represent the fans".

iv been waiting all my life for a redevelopment but I cant think of anything worse than letting this lot do it

Agreed.  I've spent years hoping for a redevelopment, but completely changed my mind over recent months.  They would arse it up and the Club would be stuck with something cheap & nasty for decades.

Yeah it shouldn't take actual relegation for us to unite and get these cunts out. We should be actively trying to prevent that from happening.

The writing is on the wall. Anyone still with their heads in the sand now are in total denial. We're absolutely praying for two shitter teams than us this season as some sort of gift from the gods.

People need a fucking rocket up their ass without actual relegation confirmed.

It’s laughable to consider allowing this lot to redevelop. The architects that designed Brentford’s (absolutely superb) stadium aren’t good enough for the same people who find it beyond their technical ability to replace a shop sign within 3 months.

We would end up with a mash up of a 3-sided Kassam, and the unfinished Northampton stand. They would butcher the County Ground forever.

The JV has served to allow the club to keep friends close, but enemies even closer. Utterly neutered.

I’d like to see the Trust hold a member ballot. Vote for continued diplomacy (option 1) or a change (option 2) which involves protest and a constructive search for alternatives.

Shop sign still not done today seeing as you mentioned it. 3 days to go isn't it?

If it isn't done obviously many will say it's not that important but it's the fact they have said it will be done and no doubt left it until the last minute again

100% this. Stand for the fans by asking what the fans want? They said in the reply to me that some people hated the open letter. Trying too hard to appease everyone and that results in doing fuck all. Consult the fans, find out where they stand and stand accordingly.

This I like & very much agree with the rest of the post as well.

Kept the Trust membership going to retain the "voting share" in anything that comes the members way from the JV with regard to development.

Would the Trust have the power to then throw out any ropey looking proposals from the club if the majority of members gave them the thumbs down?

The trust are part of the JV but this at arms length, they have 1 or 2 rep's on the JV board that then report back to the Trust board, I don't see an issue with this and can not see how this would affect what the Trust do, it is 2 separate bodies, unless it is the Trust Chair & Vice Chair as the reps.

They need to represent their members and to a degree the wider fan base, but if a majority of their members vote for the Trust to e.g. go nuclear then that is what has been decided.

We are not at that point yet, lets see what the Trust can come up with by talking to Clem, although I vaguely remember Clem promising more football experience - that has not happened, although I wonder if he gambled he could get Fitton on board and Fitton saw how things were and run for the hills.
I would hope that they wont be fooled by Clem's words and insist on action and that action soon, at the moment the on pitch issues and off pitch issues are separate but equally they ate intwined by Clem & Co failure to not know enough about football operatons.
