McKirdy has won the PFA fans player of the month for league 2 in January.
That's him buggered for the rest of the month then!

Thinking longer term: 1. I would like to sign McKirdy to a 3 year deal 2. I would like to sign O'Brien. I'd pay decent money for him! 3. I would like to take a punt on Davison at the end of the year. He clearly offers something. 4. I'd like to sign Simpson and try and develop him. 5. I would extend Aguiar's contract. I think he has promise. 6. I'd like to sign Tomlinson.

McKirdy has signed a new contract. The club hasn’t said how long.

I'd still like to sign him (and O'Brien) for 3 years!

Much as I’d like it,I’d be shocked if Palace would offload O’Brien for anything we could afford. They only signed him 12 months ago and I would imagine that coming here is part of a development journey that could lead towards their first team squad. Surely they’d only sell if they were convinced he’d never make it.

Depends on many factors some of which you’ve outlined. An eye watering sell on clause with a decent upfront chunk might do it.

Surely a buy back clause also?

Are any of our present loanees likely to be available to sign permanently in the summer? I realise that will depend on what league we are in.
O’Brien - no chance Palace would sell, maybe another loan if we go up Tomlinson - possibility, chance that us and Posh will be in the same league Cooper - possible but not likely. Davison - the most likely to be available Barry - zero chance. Again, maybe another loan if we go up

Garner said last night pre game that Levi Francis and another youngster whos name I don't remember have both gone on loan to Highworth Town for a month to experience mens football rather than just U18 stuff.

https://southern-football-league.co.uk/News/130989/Swindon-Pair-Head-to-HighworthTwo of the 2nd year scholars, Callum Winchcombe (centre-back) and Levi Francis (midfielder) both on "work experience" at Highworth Town FC. Good luck to them both.

I think Davison is out of contract at Charlton come the end of the season and I don't think they are looking to keep him based on conversations with Charlton fans. From what I have seen so far I think he'd be a great addition. Strong, good in the air and improving game by game. It will be interesting to see what happens with Tyrese Simpson in the summer as well. The other loanees I think we'll struggle to make permanently, but you never know with Ben Chorley around what is possible!
