I think Davison is out of contract at Charlton come the end of the season and I don't think they are looking to keep him based on conversations with Charlton fans. From what I have seen so far I think he'd be a great addition. Strong, good in the air and improving game by game. It will be interesting to see what happens with Tyrese Simpson in the summer as well.

The other loanees I think we'll struggle to make permanently, but you never know with Ben Chorley around what is possible!

I suppose the question with Davison (and I had a quick look last night but could see nowt) is as with Simpson whilst his contract may be up are their options which can be exercised by Charlton?

Indeed. Hopefully perhaps we could sweeten the deal with a nominal fee and a reasonable sell on. Depends how accommodating both Ipswich and Charlton will be.

I understand Davison is OOC in the Summer and would be a free, Simpson would ask for a fee and if no fee agreed would be a tribunal which is a bit of a lottery.

At least Simpson is no longer in the shop window as he was when with us which could work in our favour.

Davison is in the same boat as Simpson and has an option

Was he recalled from Brentwood, or did his loan expire?

Idem if he plays well or not, I'm sure it won't matter. Purely development minutes.

We've been quite fortunate/managed injuries this season but we're finally getting our injury crisis. From what I saw on Twitter this morning Cooper is out for the season and Tomlinson for weeks but both back to their clubs for rehabilitation? I am not sure if it's been announced about the termination of loans yet has it? I wonder if we'll now push to sign Egbo on a short term deal?

Never a good time to have an injury 'crisis' but seems really harsh for the business end of the season.

No, but the official tweet did make it sound like they had

"
We would like to wish both @BrandCooper and @joe3tomlinson the very best of luck for their respective recoveries.

Thank you for your efforts during your time with us, and we know you will both bounce back stronger 💪💪
