The light show/walk thingy at the old town gardens. Really well done and great every year, better than your blenheims and your stourheads for me (especially factoring in cost/distance)
In fact, the old town gardens in general. A beautiful part of the world, a real gem

We went a couple of years ago, it is good, but also very expensive. If I wanted to take my wife and two kids it would cost me £55.00. |

We went a couple of years ago, it is good, but also very expensive.
If I wanted to take my wife and two kids it would cost me £55.00.
No such thing as a free lunch. Think of the cost to SBC. Liability insurance. Staff. Electricity used. Cost of equipment. H&S personnel. Is there also a charitable element to the event? We went first time it was on and was told it was a gamble to start it but if successful they’d reinvest to improve it Year on year and profits went to a charity, I think? |

Don't they lose like a quarter of a million quid a week or a month or something? That was a few years ago too.
He's spent ooodles of money chasing the prem to the point they have to be close to breaching FFP. At the end of the day they've just failed.

A year ago but it’s gone quiet since.
Bristol City Football Club (FC) reported a pre-tax loss of £22.2 million for the 2022/23 season, which was a reduction from the £28.5 million loss in the previous year. The club's finance director, Tom Rawcliffe, said the loss was not insignificant, but that it was part of a trend of reducing losses each season.
